partybarbie Posted December 8, 2023 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2023 I would love to try it, but it’s a little pricey for our budget. I would be in for about $75 a person.
Rare iamaqt2 Posted December 8, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2023 This will certainly appeal to foodies. It's always nice to have more options to dine. And 150 pp for lobster and caviar is not outrageous IMO. I'd like to see it age restricted though. 1
SCX22 Posted December 9, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2023 Has anyone seen Britto's art? Pretty sure his work is sold on Princess ships. It's going to be like eating in the Fine Arts Gallery. Hopefully, there won't be any Park West staff asking diners if they would be interested in purchasing some of the art. His art isn't my cup of tea. CruisinFinsUp Posted December 9, 2023 #10 Share Posted December 9, 2023 Deck 17 aft is "coming soon" on the deck plans. I guess this is what they contracted to do. I hope the area is open to use during the day when it is not an open restaurant so that there is an aft indoor space for passenger use (like Skywalkers). If it were not, that would be disappointing to me because I enjoy the wake view with a coffee and a book mid afternoon. The deck plans don't show any other high deck indoor public space (not suites only) at the aft, that I could see. At that price, I doubt we will participate. Offering whole Maine lobster is one thing while typical Princess so-so lobster tails is something else. And there are kinds of different grades of caviar. The price could be reasonable or a complete rip off. Also consider that the $300 per couple would likely have 18% tacked on so we are talking $354’per couple. But if the food quality matches the price point, then it should be very well received. If not, it will be known rather quickly. People drop that money on the chefs table all the time. I personally find it to be whimsical and charming in a Picassoesque kind of fashion.
