dobiemom Posted December 10, 2023 #76 Share Posted December 10, 2023 Flight was great. We left 8 minutes late but arrived 27 min early. I took advantage of my First Class upgrade and had Bailey’s on the rocks at 7am (it’s 5 o’clock somewhere! 😉). Breakfast was a 3-cheese omelette or a charcuterie board. My sis and her DH had arrived just before we touched down so sis was able to help me with my luggage. Hotel room is huge! We had stayed at a Hyatt Place in Miami this past Feb and it had 2 double beds plus a L-shaped sofa with a bed in it. So we chose the Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port & Convention Center. This is the same setup PLUS a nice desk/work area and a wet bar. Sis had heard that Kelly’s Landing was pretty good so we went there for dinner. Good thing we went early as at 5pm there was already a line to get in. And yes, it was good. 😋 We arranged for the hotel shuttle to take us to the cruise port at 11am. We have the first boarding time at 1pm Group A, as the NS is going through various inspections and immigration for the crew. So we plan to have a nice leisurely breakfast at the hotel then take our time checking out and boarding our BHB.

Especially on Friday night's it's wise to remember that Florida is the home of "early bird" dining! The line at Kelly's gets longer even after that.
