Rare Illbcruzn4life Posted December 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted December 14, 2023 In the past you could cancel your cruise on the website and it would tell you how much it would cost to cancel. I was looking around on Carnival.com and couldn't find that feature anymore. Just wondering if it's still there and if so how to find it. mz-s Posted December 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted December 14, 2023 You will only see this if you booked with Carnival directly. If you booked with a TA you will need to contact your TA to get this information.
Rare Illbcruzn4life Posted December 14, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted December 14, 2023 thank you for the info. I booked with a pvp. Not canceling at this time but wanted to see how much it would cost if we did.
n6uqqq Posted December 14, 2023 #5 Share Posted December 14, 2023 Just a note. The cancellation amount will often show more than the true penalty. For example I put down 400 dollars on an early saver booking and the cancellation penalty shows a 400 dollar penalty for cancelling. The true penalty amount is 50 per person or 100 dollars in my case. The remaining 300 would be carried over as a future cruise credit which would have to be booked within 12 months. Once past final payment date I would lose the whole 400 dollars. 1

awhitleycrew Posted December 19, 2023 #7 Share Posted December 19, 2023 For those that were charged the $50 per person and got the rest in FCC do you remember what type rate code you booked under? I am looking at cancelling 2 cabins, one apparently under a casino rate and the other Early Savers. One shows losing $198 and the other $250. I would love to get some of it back in FCC versus just losing it all. haha

Mine said 400 penalty but actually was 100 penalty and 300 FCC.
awhitleycrew Posted December 20, 2023 #9 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Thanks for explaining how that worked for you. I'm hoping at least some of ours will come back as future cruise credit. I haven't cancelled quite yet but probably will be in the next week or so.
