This is not a live. I’m just returning the favors of other posters who have posted dailies and staff. Cruising with my sister and we’re boring. We don’t drink or party, like early nights and mornings. Great job ... FSD uploaded just fine, able to read the PDF, thank you.  A short 5 days cruise to Bermuda or ??? (any words onboard as to revised itinerary or delays ... @16:20 on live shipcam, underway & en route 👍

 

As you probably know, adverse weather forecasted (sorry, that's mother nature) again - brace for a strong wind & rough sea state tonight heading out - hold on to the railings when out & about, look out for the paper bags next to/near the elevators & stairs, that's your clue on what to expect ahead.  Escape is a fine ship, big but it's not going to be boring - if they close the outdoors due to weather, expect everyone inside to do things in the main atrium lobby - we sometimes have better luck finding chairs to sit near the iCafe, starboard side.  Cageny's and Moderna's - Deck 8 AFT has nice & comfortable sofa & loungers to sit back & relax during the morning & afternoon, and usually not crowded - unless they will be using it for private functions or events.  Go check out the fitness center, it's free & included in your fare, not & apart from the spa nearby.  

 

Have a great cruise ... and, if you happen to notice, how are the MDR seating & reservation (new system ???) working for passengers without a confirmed, advance reservations - looking for a table for 2, 3 or 4.  Wish your sister & you a great cruise, bon voyage !

Thanks for posting this. We board on the 27th for back to back Caribbean cruises so, even though you are (hopefully) going to Bermuda, any information you can provide will be appreciated. Bon voyage.

Here in Bermuda it’s been beautiful sunny calm day today after several days of winds rough seas etc. 

 

Looking at weekend of good weather and we have 3 ships calling in on both Sat and Sun!

Yeah, was most definitely looking at ships heading there this weekend - see 2 P&O westbound heading there now. Good to know that island weather is good, here bracing for winter storm again & possibly snow next week in NYC. 

 

Looks like they are heading there, need to tell the engine room to make a fast run against headwind. Tonight looks a bit tasty for the GA but by later tomorrow, seas should calm down & they should be on the fringes.

Hope that has cleared out by the time we set sail on the 17th but the forecast looks like right around freezing and rain / snow for the three days we will be in the city. Oh well, better than the -40 I woke up to this morning🥶

Day 2. Rough seas so we’re suffering a touch of sea sickness. My sister says it’s quiet around the ship.

Day 3. Debating as to whether I need the raincoat. The sun is trying to come out. 
If it does clear up we have an opportunity to “spot the station” at 6:23 tonight.

Aloha. We have been blessed to visit your island since the 1970s by air and sea. Your island is beautiful the people fantastic and just a great big thank you for bringing such beauty and sharing with the world!

I just got off this cruise. Yes, it was rough as you described. The first day (starting in the evening) the next day, the sea day. it did thin the crowds down.   Do you have experience with rough seas?  I'd like to be able to classify this experience. It didnt bother me at all, other than walking around the decks and staircases.   I remember someone posted about a cruise (not on this ship) with seas so rough that it sounded like a nighmare. I think it was Alaska. I'm just curious.   When they report the seas were a certain number of feet, what would you call this one?
