Thank you @Rick&Jeannie and @insidecabin.  Your replies are helpful and mostly what I expected but was hoping otherwise.  I think that even they are not sure how much or little movement will cause problems so I won't encourage more than just presenting the itinerary to them.  I know that when we sail along the east coast, even when we don't notice the movement, we hear others complaining about how rough it is so I understand that everyone's sensitivity can vary greatly.

Thanks again!

If you are interested in a D Day beach tour try this company:

acsm-tours@hotmail.com

My dad landed on Juno beach with the Canadians on 6/6/1944.

The tours from the ship will feature the American beaches.

My dad was Beach Master  and rode a motorcycle.
Unfortunately he took a wrong turning into enemy lines and was injured, but was looked after by Nuns in a convent, for 6 weeks, until it was safe for him to continue his journey.

We did the British Isles cruise on the Emerald Princes in 2022 and it still ranks as one of our top 5 cruises in my estimation. They are port intensive, so you need to be prepared for an energetic vacation as there is so much to see and do and each destination. Here is an itinerary of what we did on our 4 day stay pre-cruise in London, and then at each port on our cruise:

London: Buckingham Palace

              Westminster Abbey

              Tower of London

              Churchill War Rooms

              Shakespeare's Old Globe Theatre

              St. Paul's Cathedral

              Maritime Museum at Greenwich

Southampton Departure - transfer and tour vis International Friends:  Windsor Castle

Guernsey - Private Tour: Castle Cornet

                                        WWII Sites and Museum

Cobh - Princess Tour: Rock of Cashel

Dublin - Princess Tour: Glendalough Monastic City

                                     Christchurch Cathedral

Belfast - Odyssey Tours: Giants Causeway

                                        Dunluce Castle

                                        Titanic Museum

Liverpool - Wales Tour via Busy Bus: Conwy Castle

                                                           Snowdonia Park

                                                           Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Invergordon - Private Tour: Dunrobin Castle

                                            Cairn Liath

                                            Falls of Shin

                                            Dornoch Cathedral

Glasgow - Discover Scotland: Sterling Castle

                                                Doune Castle

                                                Village of Luss

                                                Loch Lomond

                                                Trossachs National Park

Edinburgh - used local taxi: Edinburgh Castle

                                            Royal Mile

                                            St. Giles Cathedral

                                            Royal Yacht Brittania

Le Havre - Normandy via Overlord Tours: Omaha Beach

                                                                   American Cemetery

Bayeux - for Cathedral and Bayeux Tapestry

                                                                   Honfleur

Southampton Departure - transfer and tour via EC Minibus:  Stonehenge

It was a busy and action packed cruise vacation, but one I highly recommend!

Looks like many of the same excursions we have booked for our cruise this September on the Regal. So looking forward to it, we had this cruise booked but COVID canceled it for us. So just now getting to schedule it again.
