Will NEVER use HAL again!!

I won't name names, but a wife I'm acquainted with read the original post and put her husband out with the luggage. The next morning the luggage was gone - but there were no takers for the husband.

Maybe next time.

So now I'm wondering why we continue bumping it to the top!

(this was the very top thread on the list when I posted. ;) )

Ruth, it was at the top when I posted, too (the first time ... not this time);) . That's why I was so astounded that it had so many posts so fast!!!!

Ted, verrrrrrrry funny .....

Anyway, no harm done! Some people who never saw it are getting to enjoy it. Maybe we should bring a few more "oldies but goodies" to the top:D !!!

Given the retun of our irritant "friend," perhaps we should pull back up the glorious Blender thread?

I don't know, jc ... have you returned???;) First I've "seen" you!:)

Ouch!:D

I figure that it might be someone who has the 10th and 7th letters starting their names. Or it could be me! Except, I think I left this dead horse as dead the first time around! You can't pay me to read all of that again!:D

Well I am so steamed. I left all my money (not in a wallet) somewhere in the casino with no identification. When I went back it was all gone. So you know I went to the front desk to complain. Would you believe they didn't refund my money. Not even a shipboard credit. :p

LOL ! I never saw this thread a year ago since I wasn't a CC poster then.

You guys are hysterical. Once, we were staying at a Four Seasons Hotel in Philly and there was a sign that you could put your shoes outside and they would be polished overnight and returned. Well...you know the rest. Hubby put his good shoes he was wearing to a formal wedding the next day outside and there were no shoes to be had the next day. And, it was Sunday.

The hotel paid for him to go to the mall and get a pair at Tom Mc Can, the only shoe store open. It was that or a tux with sneakers.

  • 1 year later...

Please don't yell at me for drumming up this old thread, but I am sitting here today nursing a bad cold and I guess I had nothing else to do. This has got to be one of the greatest HAL threads ever!

Going back to my Kleenex box now...

I am sorry this happened to you, but I can't understand why you are blaming HAL. Why in the world would you put alcohol out with your luggage unattended???

I hate to say it, but I agree with doone. Why would you put your liquor out to be picked up with your luggage? That would be like putting out your laptop to be delivered to the pier by HAL. I would never in a million years! That stays with me at all times.

Liquor is a "highly attractive" item and any passenger walking down your hallway that night could have spotted it and picked it up before HAL's luggage handlers ever saw it.

You learned a lesson, and thankfully it only cost $60 to do so. Keep your liquor in your stateroom in the future, and just carry it off the ship with your hand luggage.

Sorry this happened to you, but I agree with HAL. They really can't accept responsibility for something they probably never even saw. Sadly, one of your fellow passengers probably made off with your stash ... and that truly sucks. :(

Live and learn is all I can say ...

Blue skies ...

This seems to be a "recurring problem"! How about a HAL employee in the Liquor Store STICKING a 5"x7" sheet of paper in a BRIGHT, Fluorescent Orange On Each Box:

"PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR CABIN OVERNIGHT,

AND CARRY ME OFF THE SHIP

WHEN YOU DISEMBARK IN THE MORNING"!:D

;)End of problem!;)
