Rcl terminal Fort Lauderdale parking

Hi all,

 

For a cruise on the Liberty of the Seas, we are debating driving to the port and have a few questions.

 

Price aside, what’s the best and quickest way to get in and out of the terminal?  Is it the Royal Caribbean terminal parking garage?

 

Ia the garage at the terminal connected to the port?  Is it a long walk?

 

If a senior will be with us, is there a way for us to drop her off and then quickly park the car nearby so she won’t be alone for long?

 

Is the latest cruise parking pricing $17 a day?  Is it per 24 hours or per actual day?  Would we would have to pay for boarding and departure day?

If you are sailing on the Liberty you would park at Lot B which is a surface lot next to the terminal.  Best is to drop off your senior and go park.  Parking is now $20 per day and payable upon exit of the lot.

Yesterday the lot at T18 was full by 11am.  
 

They had us use a surface lot nearby for overflow which was a 5 minute walk.

Just an FYI that they renamed the lots.  They built a brand new 700 space lot across from T19 and the Palm garage.  That is Lot A.  Lot B is the one in between T19 and T18 and if you sailed Liberty yesterday that is where you parked..  The one in front of T18 is now called Lot C which is being reserved for Odyssey and Symphony.

If cruising or flying out of  FLL, we always park at Park n Go.  It is 5 minutes from the port.  You park your car, they shuttle you to the ship and you are good to go.  When you get back, they have shuttles out there as early as 6:30 am and as one shuttle leaves, the next pulls up.  We have used them for years.  They are fantastic. If you book online it is very reasonable vs paying once you get to the lot.  Much less than parking at the terminal and no worries about parking and having to walk from the lot to the ship

Unfortunately, DH thinks his Highlander is a Rolls Royce and doesn't want an attendant driving  it.

So we always  park in the garage.

Another plus for Park and Go.  Excellent service and they drop you at the door, and pick you up at the door.

Thanks.  So it seems that Park n Go would be $50 vs $20x4 OR $80 for parking at the pier.

 

We could drop off the Senior at the pier with either option.  Is Park n Go actually time efficient as well?  It the shuttle to and from quick and can be on the road fairly quickly after departure vs going the parking at the terminal route?
