If you open a cash account on a RCI cruise and you preday/deposit on day 1.

What methods of payment do RCI offer to refund (unused) credit balance? (send to visa card, wire transfer to bank account, traveler's check, cash only in USD?)

Is it any different at Casino Royal's cage?

You can go to guest relations the night before your cruise ends and get any cash balance you have left. Most people usually need to add more cash to their account long before end of cruise.

I never put any cash down; on a 7 day cruise you can charge up to $500 before they expect payment.

 

When one hits that $500 mark, just go down to GS and authorize a credit card charge for your balance and start over at $0 with $500 credit to go.

Welcome to CC.

The on-board accounts are in USD. While they might be able to refund in something other than USD (unlikely) it would be at a very bad exchange rate. Use a cash account but don't deposit anything, so you won't have to worry about a refund.
