mrlevin Posted April 3 #2 Share Posted April 3 We just stayed at the Tokyo Conrad; great hotel great location. In shiodome tower above shiodome subway station and adjacent to shimbashi station for trains and more subway lines. Executive lounge excellent.
Rare PaulMCO Posted April 3 #3 Share Posted April 3 Real Luxury -- either of the 4 Seasons properties near the Imperial Palace. I also like the Tokyo Station Hotel -- iconic near part of the old station property. Good location for all site seeing and transport
FredZiffle Posted April 3 #4 Share Posted April 3 If you're flying into Haneda rather than Narita, I'd suggest the Hyatt Regency Yokohama or the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand. Both are convenient to the train to Tokyo (maybe 30-45 minutes) from Yokohama; they're also close to the airport and just a few minutes away from the port. briar14 Posted April 3 #5 Share Posted April 3 We stayed at the Okura Hotel, chosen for sentimental reasons, as it was my first introduction to Japan when we moved there. Even though the hotel was rebuilt and reopened in 2019, it was still as serene as I remembered it with excellent, intuitive service. It is across the street from the US Embassy in a quiet neighborhood. The Ginza Line’s Toranomon Station is a 10’ walk, Roppongi, Ark Hills, and Azabudabai, 15 minute walks. Staying there in October as our TA recommended it so good to hear you enjoyed it.
CruisetheCs Posted April 4 #7 Share Posted April 4 Ritz Carlton with lounge access (club level) was great some years ago (before Covid). Would definitely go back.
papaflamingo Posted April 4 #8 Share Posted April 4 We stayed at the Keio Plaza Tokyo in the Shinjuku area and loved it! Had a "club level" room and gave us access to the club on the 19th floor and included breakfast either at the club or down in the restaurant and evening drinks and appetizers that we simply turned into dinner. Great location.

DeepFreeze63 Posted April 8 #10 Share Posted April 8 Just completed 3 days at Tokyo Station Hotel. Magnificent stay! Beautiful venue, great location for: imperial grounds, easy access to Ginza, and Yamanote line that circles Tokyo. Extremely helpful staff, especially during our medical difficulty. Surely can’t promise it, but we (by dumb luck), got to see the Emperor,s horbse-drawn carriage take the Ambassador from Honduras from the Hotel’s imperial section toward the Imperial Palace.
