7 night Western Mediterranean on Oasis this July. Dates/ports overlap so something is wrong. Shows 8 7 night cruises in July.

Wrong on Royals site and Skymiles cruises site. It isn't possible for there to be 8 different 7 night cruises in one month on the same ship. Do they have one of the ships wrong possibly. Looking to book asap but don't know what is wrong.

Every cruise takes some passengers from Barcelona and some from Civitavecchia on the same trip.

I wondered if this was what the situation was. I didn't think it would be but wasn't sure as I've only sailed out of Florida but have been on quite a few cruises. Seems like it would be tough coordinating all of that. Thanks for the reply!

Which port would you choose? Is one better than the other or closer to the airports? Thanks!

Depends really if you want to spend some time in a particular city before or after the cruise.

Purely on logistics for boarding the ship, Barcelona is best as its right in the city, half an hour or so from the airport.  Very organised, last years Symphony cruise we were off the ship and at the airport by 7am.

Rome port is actually Civitavecchia, a town about an hour plus from Rome.  Lots of info on the Europe cruise port pages of CC about both ports.

Problem is that the Oasis class , in the US , has had new terminals built to accommodate the number of passengers these ships carry. To get by this in the Med, they load half in one port and the other half in the other port.

I don’t think this is the case. It maximises revenue for RC and choice for customers. The terminals at both can handle multiple ships on turnaround day.
