How do you get back in the room?

Your room steward can open your door for you. If he is not around you can always go to Guest Services so they can send him to open your door.

The same way as ifr you left the old seapass card in the cabin. If a cabin attendant isn't around go ask GS to help.

Assuming than neither of these options are available:

Companion passenger whose medallion you could borrow, or

Room steward in the hall who recognizes you

Then, you could go to the passenger services desk, and they will code a card, or new medallion for you.

If a room steward is nearby, ask to be let in.  If not, use the crew chat on the App to have the room steward open door for you.

When I was younger was locked out on our Veranda.  Climbed over the railing and around the divider and knocked next door.

Would not attempt that today.

Frkiends gave us a couple of magnetic utility hooks - they went on the wall right after the closet area and medallions were hung on them as we walked into the room. I suppose you could put them on the back of the door to really make sure you don't forget them!

I wear my medallion in the watch band holder so I just hang it on the cabin door handle overnight.

When I go to leave the cabin in the morning I will see it or feel it when I open the door.

It has worked so far.

I once walked out without it by accident snd it took guest services 15 minutes to get someone up there

I bet you won't do that again. 😁

You might want to be careful with this. We had 2 cabins on our last cruise. We set up our medallions so we could all open both cabin doors. My DD hung her kid's medallions on their door so they wouldn't forget them. I kept hearing a clicking nose at our door. I finally figured out that our door kept sensing their medallions and unlocking......

😮
