Casino offer vs. Premier offer

Recommended Posts

I have two different casino offers. One is for a free interior room and drinks on us for myself and companion. I have an identical offer (including deposit and OBC) on the same cruise but it is a Premier. What does the premier offer that makes it different. I have looked through the forum and see the differences between elite, ultra and premier but have not found an answer for my question.

Any advice from experienced casino folks would be appreciated.

Premier, Ultra, and Elite Casino cruise offers means there will be hosted events going on in the casino that are exclusive to people that have booked through these offers. They also come with extra gifts. Other types of casino cruise offers are just discounted and/or fully comped rooms but will not have extra onboard casino hosts to conduct these exclusive events.

Take the best deal, Premier gifts are worth about $20

Exactly. They've cut down on the number of events and giveaways on premier cruises while increasing the number of premier guests they'll book.  I'd much rather take a free interior with DOU Everywhere and several hundred dollars in freeplay on the same sailing vs. a free balcony and DOU in the casino only on a premier cruise, and that's exactly what I've been doing on my future bookings.  I'm trying Ultra to see if that's worth the opportunity cost of giving up better perks on other offers.

Something else to consider, the casino is seriously crowded on these premier cruises. If you're like me and like to play particular machines and only certain table games, it can be very frustrating even trying to find something you are willing to play on these cruises. I not only will not book a premier cruise, but I also always double check to make sure I don't inadvertently book under another casino offer for a week that is a premier. I have a much more enjoyable time in the casino and I don't really miss the small gifts or the drawings.

Seems like every cruise is now a premier, ultra or elite.  We usually just book a regular casino offer and every time it’s been one of the hosted events.
