Miami to Port Everglades transportation

Recommended Posts

Assuming you really are staying in MIA (the airport/airport area), that depends on how you define 'best.'  If cheapest is best, take tri-rail (https://www.tri-rail.com/) to FLL and then Uber/Lyft to Port Everglades.  If comfort and ability to schedule your departure time whenever your want is best, I would opt for Uber/Lyft directly to the port and you know the cost before you leave which is important if you get stuck in traffic.  My last choice would be a taxi because the price will be higher and much higher if you get stuck in traffic.

If you are staying in downtown Miami forget the tri-rail and go with Uber/Lyft.

I am flying into mia and sailing from port everglades later this year. I did a bit of research and landed on this....

The different plans for arrival then departure...

We will arrive mid day and want to get to ft Lauderdale hotel quickly so surprisingly we are going with larrys limo they are the same price as uber xl and a SET price no surge pricing etc.

When we disembark we have a late afternoon flight and are in no big hurry, so we will get uber to trirail station, it is FAR more involved... uber, waiting at train station, lugging bags on to train, at mia transfer to people mover to the actual airport, I watched a youtube.com video and decided it was TOO much hubbub for before we cruise...

The savings from the post cruise will more than pay for thestep up to Larry limo vs small uber PRE cruise

I'll assume the MIA flights off set the pricing instead of flying into FLL. This is something that always varies for us.

Actually it's bc we can fly nonstop AA from New Orleans to mia at much better times ...than our other 2 nonstop options into/out of FLL (southwest and jetblue)

If you are comparing uber prices to something, I found it helpful to get the uber estimate at the same time of day and day of the week we are actually there.

Example flight lands at 4pm Miami time on a Friday...

I did estimate on a Friday 3pm my time because, it will vary and make a big difference.

Well, we are flying into MIA but the flight arrives at 8:30p Friday night.  That is why we are staying in MIA overnight.  As far as times/cost, since you can't board before 11am anyway, the morning times don't really matter.  I love trains, but mi espousa likes convenience and comfort
