There goes the round trip Hawaii and Tahiti cruise.

Sorry for all the passengers booked out of Sydney and Brisbane on her.

🤨 Well I guess I'll be hearing from Princess as I have Mum & I booked on Grand Princess sailing to Tasmania from Brisbane on 8th December 2025.

Had just seen this posted on social media. We were so happy to find that cruise as it was just what we wanted, and now it's cancelled.

Back to the drawing board I guess. We had only paid $100pp deposit via FCC, so not out $'s but still very disappointed. Will wait for our PCP to contact us I suppose. ☹️

As I was typing the email came from Princess confirming!!

Ouch. That is a shame for the Brisbane market, as it leaves them a ship short for their summer season. P&O, Carnival, Royal Caribbean. I was looking at a Brisbane cruise, so glad we hadn't committed. Making room for the new Star Princess? 🤣

Caribbean winters must be the go. Yet another ship relocating there.

Well I just had my Discovery Princess NZ cancelled for Feb 2026 so they’re switching things around 🤨

My March 2026 Discovery cruise is intact - for now.

What it looks like they’ve done is removed all the embarkation in Auckland options for the NZ cruises. My Southern Australia is still intact but is useless to me without the preceding NZ cruise.

Strange. I can't think why they would do that.

Charge more for the full voyage vs a pretty good rate on only Auckland to Sydney.  Who knows what the bean counters at Princess are thinking these days.

It most certainly is a shame for Brisbane!☹️

Autumn in the Caribbean is not too bad either, if you are prepared to risk the odd hurricane. And the prices are usually pretty good.

Is it just the cruises out of Auckland that's cancelled, or to other NZ ports also?

These were the voyage numbers that were cancelled on Discovery

Voyages X602A, X602B, X603A, X604A & X605A

it seemed to be the shorter versions of the NZ cruises that were cancelled.  The original release is on the main Princess board and can be found with a quick search. That has the voyage numbers listed.

Hmm, that seems to me, like they don't think NZ worth the effort?

Wonder if hull cleaning is getting too difficult, with no all weather location to do the cleaning, making cruises there a bit hit & miss?

That's what I was thinking.

Well I am beginning to wonder if Princess is going to pull Discovery altogether. The above link (hope it works) was posted on the Virgin Voyages boards.

The link shows the Los Angeles port schedule for 2026 when Discovery is supposed to be here in Australia. Discovery is slotted in on Feb 19th and 23rd - so who are we going to believe?
