adelaidefc Posted May 18 #1 Share Posted May 18 Hi all. Very simple question but it's the first time cruising with a youngling and it wasn't easy to find the answer in search. If I have some OBC under my name, and a linked credit card once I finish that. I've also allowed my child to use that credit card. But I was wondering if my OBC gets used first if the child makes some purchases?
suekel Posted May 18 #2 Share Posted May 18 OBC always gets used first. If your accounts are linked then his/her purchases will come off that. 1

Your account (which is combined) will begin with a negative balance. It'll be used up by any purchases made by anyone on your combined account. Once OBC is used up, you'll start accruing a balance due. It's a very simple credit/debit account. You can track your account once aboard via the app, by printouts at the "ATM" style account machines by guest services or from printouts at GS .. 1
skynight Posted May 18 #4 Share Posted May 18 Yes, it is automatic.
chamima Posted May 18 #5 Share Posted May 18 It doesn't always work that way. My husband and myself have been on B2B cruises where our OBC and expenditures have combined on one cruise and then kept separate on the next. However, a trip to Guest Services should fix the situation.
