Paul or anyone who is Carnival cruiser:

Can you exceed the 15 limit if you pay retail (at the discretion of the bartender)?  Or is it a hard cap?  For Princess it's the former.

Hard cap- 15 is the limit, they won't serve you alcohol after that.

Paul,

I wasn't going to post anything about your dad's passing, but thought better of it when I considered the analytical approach to surviving the loss of a loved one might help you, like it helped me a lot when my mom passed away in 2016 - not when someone first shared it with me (too soon) but after a little time passed and I was ready to use it.

The idea is first to memorize the five stages (it's a quick read), then when you're feeling overwhelmed, confused... anything, you analyze which stage of recovery you're in, keeping in mind the stages can overlap and that you can be feeling more than one of them at a time.

Hope it helps.  And I hope your cruise is awesome and you hit a jackpot in the casino.

Your friend and mine, Jeff  (the other Jeff... the regular-sized Jeff)

My experience is it depends on your relationship with staff, I have good success (~50%?)with a server or two each cruise who become my favorites - I tip $2/drink at the table games, $3-$5/drink last night depending on how I did.

Some are even proactive, they'll bring you a drink without you asking, no slip to sign and say something like "you're at 14 drinks".

So I waited til about 12:20 and the line was still just there with no movement. Some people walked in if “other members of their party were inside” but I have no idea what that was cause I got there right at 12 and no one was let in for twenty minutes.

It’s usually a hard cap on Carnival, unless, as was said, you have a “friendly” bartender. I’ve never asked for that, but I’ve been handed a couple extras a few times. If you go under the limit, I usually ask for a couple beers before bed to stash in my fridge.

Okay, spent the better half of the last hour dealing with more financial paperwork crap from back home. I’ve done what I can do for now, gonna rest a little bit in the room and reboot.

Random thing to put HERE, but is anyone having luck with NCL’s website today? We have had an issue pop up with our Santorini plans and @HelloItsMeB can’t get in and I’ve been logged out of the app and site for the first time ever. Look, we all know their app and site are operated by a team of drunken mice (used to work there, I can say that)  but at least I can usually log in…

I was logged into their app this morning and didn’t have any issues.

My mom's ordeal before passing changed my perspective, I guess. She laid in a nursing home bed in a diaper, unable to speak except for gibberish, for several years. By the time of her funeral, I was all cried out. Doesn't lesson the shock though.💞💞💞

Not that it really matters, and I’ll find out in a couple months anyway, (thanks to the @Jamman54 and Patti review months and months ago and now looking forward to Venezia even more thanks to you - Carnival really needs to thank you guys!), do the benches have Venezia imprinted on them or are they the new version Carnival has come out with, plain?

Funny you should ask - I didn’t snap a picture of the benches specifically because they did not have the name imprinted on them, they were just plain.

Sad, noticed that on Celebration and Mardi Gras.
