Number of Gala evenings?

On a 12 night cruise how many Gala evenings can I expect?

Probably two.

Indeed typically 2 Gala nights, one with a theme, one perhaps without a theme. The range would be at least one on a 12 nighter (some very short sailings don't have any) to three Gala nights. If this is for a sailing that has a 2024 equivalent, you get a bit of a hint in this GoogleDocs file setup by @bluemarble - so many sailings are repeats of the previous year. Now this isn't definitive but you will find out nearer the time, either via my.cunard or by keeping eye on this board.

I was previously on QE for 10 nights and we had 3 during that time.

 

This will be QE again for twelve nights - just beyond what is currently visible on that fabulous document you linked me to at this time.

Honestly? Anything up to 12. I enjoy dressing up!

I just thought because there were 3 in 10 days it may be possible that there would be (up to) 5- in which case I'd have an excuse for some shopping, potentially.

My last 2 cruises have been 14 days and we had 3 gala nights on both of them so I'd think it's unlikely you would have more for 12 nights.

On each of our next two B2B crossings we will be on QM2 for fourteen nights. Cunard will probably schedule four, themed as Black & White, Red & Gold, Roaring 20s and Masquerade. We will be observing another ten un-themed Gala Nights each trip.

At least I'll be wearing a tux every night, my wife would probably wear the same cocktail dresses, skirt suits and gowns anyway.

We were on a 14 day New England/Canada and had 4 Gala's

I've got a 14 night transatlantic (end of QV's South America circumnavigation next year) and it has 3 gala nights.
