She was one of my all time favorite ships , totally unique when it first sailed , got engaged on her in 1990.

Was HUGE at the time(1988). As OP said Worlds first Mega Cruise Ship. Remember looking down at all the tiny Carnival and Princess Love Boat sized ships. Sovereign Cabin had 2 Couch's that room attendant had to make into beds at nite then back in am. Wasn't cheap to Cruise back then, $3600 for 2 of us on a 7nite tiny Port Hole Deck 2 Cabin. So no I don't complain about cruise prices of today. Recently did a SOLO B2B 21 nite, Panama Canal + Caribbean Cruise on Radiance in Aft Balcony for hundreds cheaper.

Never sailed on Sovereign class.  The only class, besides Icon, that I haven't sailed on.
