FrannyK Posted June 25 #1 Share Posted June 25 How close to sailing can you cancel specialty dining? Can you cancel day before sailing? Is there a penalty if you cancel once on board?

When the planner closes - about 2+ days out. You can usually cancel on board for OBC.

Planner closes before you board and you cant make changes once the planner locks down. Just go up to details, and click cancel and refund issued to the same form you paid. If you paid with obc, obc returned, if you used a credit card refunded to same credit card you used. Cancelling onboard could be the same terms, 72 hours or 48 hours before. We booked a excursion. They changed the time and rain 100% forecast. First port. Both me and friends in a different cabin were not allowed to cancel for a refund, they said too close to the date of excursion, first port. So dont assume you can cancel onboard. If it's late in the cruise, I'd say yes, but terms and conditions like how many days in advance may apply. smokeybandit Posted June 25 #6 Share Posted June 25 Cruise planner closes 48 hours prior to midnight on the day you cruise. So if you cruise on Saturday, Wednesday night is your deadline.
