That's because there is no such thing as double up for cruise first. Instead, they change the pricing - sometimes you can buy $500 certificates. I did buy a Cruise First this week on their $500 for $250 sale that ends on the 7th. Planning on using it next year if I find something for the right price/itinerary. Better "offer" is when it is DoubleUp for ANY stateroom promo ... (which is usually not promoted during the busy summer weeks) ... maybe, NCL will do that in the Fall for off-peak travel on select ships & sailings, if and assuming booking numbers are softening and finance looking for ways to pump up their financials for the next quarterly forecasts/outlook. They seem to alternate it. When this one expires, the next two weeks will be for any stateroom, then when that expires, back to the balcony and above, and so forth. Yea, I kinda figured they were the same. I suspect any "double-up" with CF went away when they introduced the "double value" certificates. They are pretty strict about how much of a discount they will give you, capped at $250 regardless of what certificates you use. Except for the somewhat rare "triple up" for CN. I was just trying to figure out how a TA who claims to be "a responible Travel Agent who says she is "well educated in NCL policy and have my Masters Degree thru NCLU" can't distinguish between the requirement to purchase 120 days in advance vs her assertion that the booking must be 120 days in advance. We are looking at an Asian cruise in a couple years …. Prices are high so we are considering an inside and I was gonna but a CF to shave off the $250. Well, it's still July 6 in the US and your profile says USA LOL... But you or you PCC are mixing terminology and terms between certificates. The "DoubleUp" offer applies to CN, not CF. And changes as to the # of certificates that can be applied, based on the cabin category. But the "double" offer to purchase Cruise First ($250 for $500) is currently in effect. A single CF can always be applied to any cabin AFAIK. Which is why I have a couple of the $500 certificates in my account, since I usually book OV. Now my question is why you posted in the first place. CN DoubleUp for any cabin, balcony or above, is pretty much the standard - not exactly newsworthy. Been the standard for CNs for a couple of years. And yes, the CF/CN promotions do tend to alternate on similar schedules. In Freestyle Daily and just announced at the Latitude Party. BTW here is an Observation Lounge tip. The lounge on the Prima is so small and often hard to find a seat. On this cruise anyway they held the Latitude party in the observation lounge on the first sea day. You could go to the party just to get a nice seat up front for the afternoon! It's not a "rule" that NCL enforced. NCL wants your money and your booking, and they have allowed new bookings within 120 days with CFs bought within 120 days.
