Casual dining options / Princess Plus

Recommended Posts

Hello, we have an upcoming cruise on the Island and have the Plus Package which comes with 2 complimentary casual dining experiences.

Can anyone tell me what they are on the Island….no luck on the deck plans and when we call they say Alfredo’s…but that’s not on the deck plans ….pop up options somewhere ?

thanks …..Bob

Yes, Alfredo’s will be a pop up in Sabatini’s on some Sea Days. It will be listed in the Daily Events. There is a passenger current doing a ‘live from the Island Princess’ (this is not the title of the thread) . The thread title is Live from the Land of Princess. Provides pictures of some of the Event listings.

Princess needs to look at offering dynamic pricing for its packages based on ship. Plus is worth more on ships that have a dedicated Alfredo’s and O’Malley’s than ships that have “pop ups”. Very different experiences and availability. And Premier is worth more on ships that have Vines than ships that don’t.

On The Island P. There are no stand alone casual restaurants. At lunch time Bayou Restaurant has pop ups. Salty Dog pub & others. Check your Patter aka newsletter under dining section once onboard .

if you wish to know now-Currently there is a Live from the Island (Live from The Land of Princess) 30 pages and counting and there are some patters in those pages. I’ll let you find them. That’ll give you more of an idea.

IIRC, Pub Lunch is also a pop-up and considered a casual dining option.

Incorrect pub lunch is included with MDR dining. There is no charge

Hate to disagree but Vines is only valuable if you want $20 glasses of wine. For cocktail drinkers like us the plus is perfect. I have always found some glasses at Vines within or close to $15

Yes. Sushi at ocean terrace on royal class ships great, along with the full dedicated Alfredo’s.

Not to pick nits, but the venue is called VINES. Not WHISKY BARRELS. It is inherent in the comment that ships with Vines offer people on the Premium package a wider variety of $15.01-$20 glasses of wine.

Vines used to be a wine bar and they changed into a full blown bar with whiskey, vodka etc drinks

Okay, but what food is served at Vines that falls under the "casual dining" Plus Package?

Does this pop up option for Alfredos also apply to the Diamond? Is it always in Sabatinis?

Alfredo’s is a pop up on Diamond P.- check The Patter onboard or check with one of the dining room managers for location and time.

The other casual restaurant is Kai sushi.

Are there pop ups on the Emerald for plus?

I do not believe there are additional pop up dining venues for ‘Plus’ on Emerald since it already has, Planks, Steamers, Vines, and SaltyDogGastroPub venues as casual dining options. I believe Planks and Steamers alternate nights they are offered.

Emerald may do pop up Crab Shack, but Crab Shack is a Specialty Dining venue with a cover charge of $39 plus gratuity.
