PumpkinPatches Posted July 19 #1 Share Posted July 19 Good Morning! I just booked 2x 7-night cruises on the Enchanted Princess in the Med for summer 2026. The total price for the two 7-night sailings was a bit cheaper than booking the 14-night option. We were able to book the same cabin for each sailing so I am not concerned about having to move. I am thinking why not save the $, travel is expensive enough and I'll take any opportunity for savings that I can. Also, I would get 2 Captain's Circle cruise credits for these sailings rather than 1. Also any OBC credits and Princess Perks will be doubled (fitness classes and casual dining are limited to 2 per cruise) I am wondering if there are any negatives that I am forgetting about or overlooking... just trying to make an informed decision before I deposit! Thanks all for your help! No negatives that I can see. I agree that a B2B is better if you are already traveling long distances to get there. Staying in the same cabin is great but they also make it very easy for you, even if you have to move. The only negative for some people on certain repeat B2B sailings is that you may visit the same ports (not all itineraries are like that, though). To me, that doesn’t matter one bit as you can choose different excursions, tours, etc. that you didnt get to do the first time. However, the menus and shows onboard will most likely be the same. But again, you can try different things or revisit a favorite, so that’s not a negative for me, either. I’ve not been to Europe so not entirely sure if their turnaround process is the same as it is in the states (I assume it is). In the US, it’s very simplified. You gather in a specific public room and are escorted through immigration and as soon as the ship is cleared, you will be the first ones back onboard. If you choose to explore the embarkation port, that is your choice and you don’t have to go back through check in again. You will have to go back through security, though. Rare LACruiser88 Posted July 19 #3 Share Posted July 19 For us when looking at booking b2b's or as one voyage it always comes down to the math (OBC's, Shareholder OBC's, etc...). We "usually" find that the longer voyage is less expensive. This was the case with our upcoming 51-day cruise on the Majestic. We booked the first day it was available and booking as one voyage was much lower. That was not the case when we booked the Nov of 2025, 30-day cruise on the Enchanted. It was also available to book as two 7-day (Med) cruises and a 16-day (TA) cruise. Booking separately as b2b2b was lower in price. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I actually ended up switching sailings shortly after posting this... So I was booked on 2 separate 7-night sailings on Enchanted (July 14 and 21 2026). They were offering 3rd/4th free, and we're a family of four so this is huge for us. These two 7-nights together were about $100 cheaper than the longer 14-night option. I would have preferred to sail on July 7 and be traveling during the Canada Day stat holiday (hello extra vacation day!) but the 7-night sailing on this date wasn't offering 3rd/4th free. I just realized that the July 7th 14-night sailing offered 3rd/4th free so I switched to this one and got the extra large balcony cabin for the same price as the regular size balcony (cat BD). EZ Air should know your embark date and your ultimate disembark date. It always has when I booked b2bs. Whenever I need to fly on a B2B, I book EZAir separately on each leg of the cruise .. the first leg for the outgoing flight and the 2nd leg for the flight back home. It makes it easier if you need to adjust or cancel one the flights anyway. In our case, I recently decided to use EZAir for a cruise and then more recently, I booked the next cruise changing it to a B2B. The air went way up since I originally booked it and had to cancel the roundtrip flight just to cancel the flight back home. I ended up just getting the air on my own as it got way too expensive to rebook it through EZAir, even though I like their guarantee. So now I can only come in 5 days early which makes it problematic. No, it is not the same. All of that is to meet US CBP requirements. In Europe, it is far simpler. If you're booked on a single booking number, my experience is it will be just a normal port day. You won't even know it's a turnaround day for some passengers. It may be slightly different for a B2B with different booking numbers but I suspect anything needed can be worked out in advance with Passenger Services. That said, we will find out next April when we do a B2B2B on Sun Princess divided into three 14-night bookings plus two other turnaround ports inside two of the 14-night bookings. While the web Cruise Personalizer shows all three separately, the app has already combined all three into one cruise (and let us book dining as if it's one cruise). We'll see how that all works out next year (since the cruise starts with eight sea days on a trans-Atlantic, I'll have plenty of time to talk to guest services).
