ccheng6401 Posted July 21 #1 Share Posted July 21 I recently learned that some people with high status have access to very cheap or nearly free last minute cruises, e.g. $100pp pre-tax for a 7 night, 14 night or more night balcony cabin and etc. plus $200 OBC. Do you have to be a diamond AND a casino gambler to access those great deals? How much do you have to gamble on each cruise?
hurricane0226 Posted July 21 #2 Share Posted July 21 we get these casino offers all the time, we average about 2 grand a cruise, but that is putting the winnings back in, so it is 100pp and we get it back in obc. plus most of them have the DOUE package which is also about a 700.00 freebie. 1
vwrestler171 Posted July 21 #3 Share Posted July 21 Diamond/platinum USUALLY has nothing to do with it, it's definitely from the casino. If there was a set number, EVERYONE would spend that much expecting the last minute deals.

I'd love access to last minute deals. I now moved close to a port.

Also, they don't have to be last minute. We usually book back to back cruises, for a minimum of 14 days. We have a FREE 21-day B2B European Cruise from London coming up next week that we had booked almost two years ago.

Those are casino offers and no status required, nor are those "pack and go" offers. Casino offers are based on both prior ship play and where you fit into their marketing demographics. End of day, no casino offer is cheap.
pcvtmom Posted July 22 #7 Share Posted July 22 Offers are DEFINITELY not based on status. We've been diamond for a few years and never get those cheap (casino) offers. We aren't gamblers, so no deals.
Rare angelsfort Posted July 22 #8 Share Posted July 22 may be "cheaper" in the long run to just pay the regular cruise fare, rather than attempt to spend enough at the Casino to get some "cheap" options... either way, you're spending that money. But with the Casino, you don't know if/when you may get an offer (nor what it will be) so it's not a "sure thing"
ZoeyVictoria Posted July 22 #9 Share Posted July 22 I am Platinum and a moderate casino player. I received the “frees” offer - pay $50, get $50 OBC - in January and again in February, and used both. I have received other offers, but no “free” ones since then. My PVP told me he has a client who received (and used) offers twice, did not receive any for several months, and then received another offer.
