Going on a 3 night cruise on Reflection in a couple of weeks. (First time on Celebrity… coming over after years on RCCL). We will be in Nassau first day and Bimini on the second. Does that mean the casino will be closed during the day until we sail?

thanks!

The casinos with most cruise lines typically open 12 nautical miles away from the US once at sea and typically are closed while in ports of call.  The ship will post their hours of operation.

We left Bimini on Wednesday at 4:30 and the casino was open before 5. They have to get into international waters before opening but they didn’t waste any time!  Casino stays open late…very late. We just got off Reflection today. There are places in Nassau to get your gambling fix if you’re so inclined…Atlantis and Baja Mar come to mind most immediately.

Just to add, there are some ports of call where the casinos will be open.  Typically it would be when a ship is docked overnight and an agreement with that port of call's government exists for them to be open.  This usually involves a written permit with some amount of fee paid to that government.  Bermuda is one example of this with Celebrity and other lines.

This would not be the case with Nassau or Bimini per the OP's itinerary.

Yep. I assumed as much but just wanted to confirm. Would definitely prefer a sea day but that’s the price I pay for such a short cruise. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they have to re-route and cancel a port due to weather.

Seems like they are leaving $ on the table in a place like Bimini where very few want to get off.
