Sun Princess Teppanyaki availability

We're getting married on the Sun Princess in June 2025 and am in the process of booking our speciality restaurants.

Teppanyaki only has availability at 17.00 every day of our cruise where all the other ones, including Umai Hotpot, have multiple options.

Does anyone know why this is? We want to book 19.30. TIA

Seems to be an issue for a while, even getting a reservation.

I’d grab it now and try to change the time later.  JMO

We could only get 5 pm on our cruise the other week. The Hotpot is less popular hence the availability.

We asked to be on a cancellation list, but no one did. It was a great experience but far too early for us.

IIRC back in June we ate at 5 and had to be out a little after 7 for the 7:30 folk to come in.

No problem - I'm just glad we're booked - even if we had to pay and deal with customer service for obc once 'on-board' with premier80

Do you happen to know if any times were available for the other Specialty restaurants?

Yes, we've been able to book all the other restaurants with lots of choice of times....very strange!

Be very careful about prepaid reservations. Still battling Princess from June as we prepaid for The Catch as well as Spellbound. Neither prepayment showed up on our folio. Finally the prepayment for The Catch showed up but we were charged for Spellbound and never got the credit for the prepayment. Was told by guest services on board they'd take care of it and they didn't. Princess Customer (dis)Service says they'll take care of it and they never do. Now going through the dispute process with the credit card company.

did you have premier at least for Catch?

We had Premier but used it for the Butcher Block and the Teppanyaki restaurant. That's why there was a payment for The Catch. Maybe I wasn't clear but the prepayment for The Catch was added to the folio but Spellbound's prepayment was not.

Check the princess app when you are on board.

More times get released even on the day of, and you'll be able to reserve it on the app.

Was able to reserve even for a sea day the day of.  For some reason right around 5-6pm.. a bunch of time slots opened up every day.  Wonder if that's when they go through the numbers and then open things up.
