snorklelover Posted August 31 #1 Share Posted August 31 Taking a cruise in March 2025 ( Caribbean). If we book our own flights will Regent still include the transfers from airport to the hotel and then ship to the airport? We are in a Concierge suite which includes the one night hotel. flossie009 Posted August 31 #2 Share Posted August 31 No, if you make your own flight arrangements then the only transfer included will be from the Regent pre-cruise hotel to the ship on the morning of embarkation.
snorklelover Posted August 31 Author #3 Share Posted August 31 Thank you flossie. I guess we will need to use an Uber. Hoping to find out soon what hotel Regent will be using for the one night pre stay. We have stayed at both the Intercontinental and the Biltmore. SHIP TRAVELER Posted September 3 #4 Share Posted September 3 Since the topic is transfers. I will add my Regent newbie question. If we want a purchased transfer to the airport at the end of the cruise can we use our OBC to pay? We have been able to do this on other cruise lines but did not know about Regent. We have a lot of OBC this time and without being able to use in in the Casino, we are at a loss about using it. I know that Uber would be more reasonable than the transfers but we might be in a use it our lose it situation. A "free ride" would make more sense than a gift shop purchase to us. Near the end of your cruise, you will get a disembarkation questionnaire which includes an option to purchase airport transportation. Dave

We will save a bit of OBC until later in the cruise.
GOARMY Posted September 4 #7 Share Posted September 4 Ship Traveler: A cautionary Note--based on recent experience. Regent end-of-cruise transfers to either a hotel or the departure airport are notoriously expensive. Example: Regent wanted $87.00 pp to transfer us from the Mariner to a Papeete Hilton for a day-long stay before departing late that evening for flight back to USA. That route, when I did a Google, was less than five miles. Way-less. But, not walkable considering the climate (rain; humidity) and baggage. Yes, a taxi was an option. But-- We had a bunch of OBCs. A few days before debarkation--and after receiving that Questionnaire--went to Reception. Was told NO--OBCs had to be used while on the ship. This seemed bizarre. Went to the Concierge. He advised, YES as to applying OBCs. I suggested he convey this info. to Reception to alleviate other guests' angst. Concierge then accessed our Account; did whatever he had to do, and VIOLA! We had those transfers. You may not experience this--but, if so--do not take No for an answer. Go to the Concierge. Best, GOARMY
SHIP TRAVELER Posted September 4 #8 Share Posted September 4 Thanks I was concerned about something like this from past experience on other lines. I would only use this inflated option as a use it or lose it with OBC. I can usually have fun donating all the OBC I want through a ships casino but it seems this is not allowed on Regent so we are just looking at other options. Wine tastings and Chefs pairing dinners are out because of diet and alcohol health related restrictions.
Rare RachelG Posted September 4 #9 Share Posted September 4 In Miami, it is going to be way cheaper to just get an uber.
forevertravel Posted September 4 #10 Share Posted September 4 Buy a nice bottle of wine for dinner with OBC and take Uber or taxi. What Regent charges for transport to airport is ridiculous. A taxi or Uber is less than $30 from cruise terminal to airport in Miami.

We are flying in a few days early for our cruise next March (not using Regent Air). The cost for a private car is 89 Euros for short ride from the airport to the hotel and hotel to ship. Still much cheaper than what you paid for Regent transport but just an expensive place to be. Oh well... the ride includes a welcome lei and bottles of water so.. a "bargain at any price." 😜
Rare GMIAC Posted September 5 #12 Share Posted September 5 If we have a pre-cruise land package but arrive the day before and stay that night in the Regent hotel (we bought our own air too), will we still be entitled to Regent transfers from the airport to the hotel?
