My first attempt at a live post!

Our second time on the Breakaway, our first was also out of NY to Bermuda when the Breakaway was only a few weeks old!

Drove in this morning,  easy drive very little traffic.

Pre booked parking, again very easy. Had 10:30 check in time and was on the ship by 10:45!

Rooms ready at 2:30 and found our luggage along the way!

Ship is pretty full! And as I remembered,  very pretty and lots to do!

So far all staff have been wonderful!

The ship is clean but showing alot of wear and tear,  many windows the vapor seal is leaking so can't see out of them.

Our cabin is in great shape, and Marvin our steward is great!

Following... I will be on Breakaway in November, though for a different itinerary.  Any chance you can get a list of the officers that they usually post a pictures of.  I realize some may change...

Most importantly, I hope you enjoy your cruise and I look forward to hearing about your experiences!

Following.  Same cruise later this month.

This is an easy relaxed cruise for us.  We have been to all the ports before, and just want to enjoy time away from work, entertainment, sights, food, and someone else doing the cooking, cleaning, and "driving".

Good morning!

As everyone already knows,  wifi isn't that great!

In Portland now so I'm online!

Back to Sunday, sailaway was amazing. Love to sail out of NYC!

We had precooked the thermal spa, first time we have ever done something like that but wanted some quiet place to relax and we figured the weather might be too cool to be out by the pool.

We also precooked our dinners so we're all set.

Sunday we had lunch at Taste, very good experience

Dinner was Shanghai Noodle, very loud, open to the Casino so cigarettes smoke. Service very unorganized.

Drinks came after food was served and wrong drinks!

Food was very good, might give it a try again!

Monday morning our breakfast was at Savor. Very unorganized again. My breakfast arrived before my hot tea arrived. Kept asking about my tea and our server said it was his associates job!

My breakfast arrived without my side of bacon, so to make up for it he gave me 8 pieces of bacon!

Lovely conversations with the couples on either side of us.

I'm glad the food at Shanghai was good. Disappointing to hear service isn't that great - hope things get better as you're on to day three!

I'm guessing there won't be much change to the leaves yet, but am interested in the foliage you do see!

We then went to thermal spa, which was crowded and loud!

Only stayed a little while because of the noise.

Many of the windows had lost their vapor seal so were clouded over you couldn't see out of them

Don't worry, we will try the Noodle bar again as we love it!

As fir fall colors I'm sure their will be some as at home the maples are already starting to turn red!

This is our first cruise as Platinum so wanted to take advantage of our new perks!

Monday at 8 am was the "behind the scenes your" which we did once before so opted out as we didn't want to get up early!

At 11 am was the wine tasting, nice but the sit down one you see that cost money.

We sampled all the reds and found one we liked and were told it would be in all restaurants so we took a picture to remind us!

Noon was the welcome back reception in the Manhattan room which was almost full! Lots of Lattitude members!

Lunch a O'Sheeans and then off to meet up with the meet and greet at H20! Nice group but we were outside, light rain, and cool so didn't stay long

Went back to the spa which was  quite relaxing now, not as crowded and quiet.

Saw whales while relaxing!

We had upgraded the beverage package only this trip. My husband really enjoys the opportunity to try the high end bourbon and scotch they have on board.

Dinner at La Cucina, one of our favorites.

Asked to be seated outside, a little cool but just fine for us.

Than things got weird, asked our server for the wine we had at the sampling event.  He told us it wasn't available,  we showed him the wine list and he still said no. Not availble in our package and he poured us something else which wasn't good. So we asked for a different wine, he sent out a different waiter and left us!

The new waitress wasn't very happy with us! We asked for the wine we wanted and she sent out the wine sommelier who said yes! We can have the wine we wanted and he got it for us!

Dinner was excellent as usual and our waitress finally warmed up to us and we all got to see a whale waving her fins at us for several minutes!

Then off to see "Burn the Floor"

Because of the whole wine thing dinner took too long and we got to the theater with only minutes too spare and no two seats together so we left.

Off to the whiskey bar for cards and drinks!

Great waiter and I won the cards game!

In my experience the noodle bar has always been a bit chaotic.

I always enjoy the food but much prefer the proper restaurant that they have on the older ships.

Breakfast in the buffet today! My husband loves the buffett for all of the choices, I prefer not to as it is crowded and loud but today was ok!

Waiters walking around refilling coffee and offering sweet rolls!

The spa is calm and quiet this morning!

We will head into port later and explore on our own, nice and sunny with temps reaching 70 today! Perfect weather!

I always wonder, who thought it was a good idea to put a restaurant next to the casino?

Someone had asked me a few weeks back to check out the hand weights in the gym, looking for 3 and 5 lb o es. Can't remember who but yes they have both!

Where were you when you saw the whales?  I have only seen them on an Alaska cruise.  One must have known he was being watched - remained about 100 yards off the port side for a good 20 minutes showing off.

We saw a few today. Probably about 50 miles south of Boston.

Thanks Mcmomny for providing updates.

Husband and I are on the October 13th cruise.  I am curious where the itinerary lands.  Rumor is skip Newport and add Boston.  Just have to go with the schedule, whatever it is.

Love the thermal spa when quiet.
