Bin man Posted September 20 #1 Share Posted September 20 Well a week into the cruise club dinning meals have been very good and have improved on last trip on ventura. Had two celebration nights and they have seemed to have added a few more choices on those nights, two choices of souos in the starters and have put chicken on as a more basic dish if you are a picky eater like me .Veg has been cooked well and not hard ,even the brussel sprouts with the turkey last night were near perfection so all in all enjoying the food in the MDR Baytree
Rare Eglesbrech Posted September 21 #2 Share Posted September 21 Always nice to hear positive feedback. Food is such an important part of a holiday for many. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
bbtablet Posted Thursday at 10:54 PM #3 Share Posted Thursday at 10:54 PM On the same cruise, and agree that Ventura menus were better overall, BUT re the two soups - one is always tomato which I hate! The others were mainly vegetable-based and clearly made from left overs from previous nights (e.g. broccoli soup) - very few meaty soups, so I was disappointed. Carrot sticks could be used to play hockey with and our brussels had barely seen any hot water (as usual) and were defrosted only (i.e. hard!). Bin man Posted 16 hours ago Author #4 Share Posted 16 hours ago We always go tomato soup as a go to starter as a safe bet .We tried the brocolli soup and also had leek and potato which were very nice .We sneeked a melon starter one night we asked the waiter if it was available .I was a bit more adventurous this time having something different to what I normally have

They used to do a variety of Ice Cream Sundaes on the MDR dessert menu, but these have disappeared.

It was horrible … and then I noticed that it contained vegan banoffee gelato. Won’t make that mistake again!
