Oh, yes.  Even at the wine tasting Rodin referred to him as Anakin and then said his name is really Edison.

 

Edison has taken his sommelier test but has not received his certification results yet. That may be why there is such a long overlap.

We had lunch ashore today at Senior Frogs.

I do not see either of those items on the YC menu in the app.  We looked at the menu on the app before deciding to eat ashore.

Lunch today was at Senior Frog’s.  Not sure if it was a wise choice or not be we were both ready for a change of pace. 
 

 

we started with a Sprite for my wife and a Senior Frogs margarita for me.

 

 

Chips and Guacamole for a starter

 

 

My wife went with the chicken taco’s 

 

 

and I went with the beef

 

 

both came with beans and rice

 

They did not look like much but they were appetizing.  The beef was noted as being spicy and I liked the kick to it.

I think more than half the people that go to Senior Frog’s do so for the entertainment value.  It certainly has a uniqueness.

Years ago, when my girls were 14 and 15 years old, they tried to convince their dad and I to let them go off to Sr. Frogs on a port stop in Nassau...BY THEMSELVES!  They couldn't understand why we wouldn't let them go alone.  "But mom, nothing bad is going to happen"...famous last words.  We compromised by taking them over but agreed to walk in separately and sit at nearby table, "so the boys wouldn't think they came with their parents".  🙄 Just one of many battles they lost throughout the teenage years...OMG am I glad those days are behind me.  Both are grown and productive members of society now...my oldest has 2 kids of her own.  She recently told me that she now understands how we must have felt all those years ago.  It was the only time I've ever been to Sr. Frogs.

Great parenting. We need more concerned parents like you & not just trying to be friends to our children. Tough love is tough but needed.

We have never been into a Senor Frogs.  Our sons liked to watch people staggering out of it in Cozumel.  Best advertisement in not drinking too much as they watched people barely able to stay upright and walk down the pier.

I am with your sons.  I enjoy people watching and there were some young people at Senior Frog’s that would make one question whether they are suitable to parent children yet. 

 

We did not see anyone in that bad of shape but there were two young ladies a few tables away from us who were certainly not feeling any pain and were quite vocal in sharing their enjoyment.  Fortunately, I had my back to them so did not have to witness their over indulgence first hand.

All aboard was at 1930 and we were scheduled to get underway at 2000.   At 1934 we started backing away from the pier.  Guess all the crew and guests had their fill of Nassau so the captain was able to leave ahead of schedule.  Here are some sunset picture I took prior to heading to the dining room.

 

 

 

 

Dinner this evening was delicious. 

 

My DW started with the winter salad.  Not sure why the focus is so poor .. Not the first time either of us has had this salad though.

 

 

Edison, aka Aiken, stopped by and brought me a nice Sauvignon Blanc to start .

 

 

I ordered the assorted Chinese dumplings for my wife and I to share, as she had liked them last time

 

 

And the beef and barley soup; for myself. 

 

 

While having my starter Rodin dropped by and present me with a bottle of “No Name” to go with my main courses. 

 

 

For our main courses my DW went with the scallops

 

 

And I ordered Pappardelle with Duck Ragout (it was amazing)

 

 

My DW ordered and dug into the Tiramisu before I could even pick up my iPhone to take a picture. 

 

I asked for the cheese and fruit plate with crackers.

 

 

Since I liked it so well the other night I asked Rodin if I could have the  Sauternes again to go with my dessert ..

 

 

I gotta lay off this sweet goodness. 

 

We left dinner and headed to see what we could do about our remaining OBC.  First stop was the chocolate shop for gifts for our daughter & SIL and our next door neighbor.

I have confirmed what @Best Cat Mom said - Rodin is scheduled to be onboard until February.  Also Edison just started his contract two weeks ago so he’s here until around April.  Between the two of them, they cover both YC and the MDR.

The Captain just made a visit to the YC restaurant saying good morning to everyone.  I congratulated him on yet another fine job of backing into the berth and mooring.

Tis an overcast day here at Ocean Cay.  The wind is no where near as bad as it was last week so we are considering taking a walk from the ship over to Ocean House.  I’d like to snap a few pictures for my photo album, have lunch, and maybe take a cart or walk back depending on weather and how we feel.

We just stopped by the cabin to drop off some things and to get items we needed before going ashore.

So the question is, have you passed along the Cruise Critic baton? It is important to share the best seat in the lounge, along with the recipe for a tasteful morning drink…thankful for you and the  Mrs for being such fine stewards of this.

No, we have not met anyone who is posting to CC other than @lahlah57 and her husband but they are only on for this week.

 

As for our favorite corner, word must have gotten around as we are finding it more and more occupied.

My wife only finished half her burger so I accepted the challenge and finished the other half, along with the left over fries.

 

all in all it was an excellent meal.

We hung out at Ocean House for a while but more and more guest started showing up so we decided to come back to the ship.

 Bring patience as carts are a process and there seem to be a lot fewer of yhem than needed.

 

Anyway, I snapped a few photo’s of the YC Beach and the boarded a cart back to the YC Tent at the pier entrance.

We went back to the Infinity bar today with our two friends to have an espresso martini competition. When we walked up the maker of the Brain damage called me by name. I had shared his drink on a page with faces for our cruise. Someone came up and shared my post with them. After the espresso competition they walked up with another shot that they named after me. I am so proud. Lol

The Ocean Cay was a nice visit and I had the Portabello mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. DH had some sort of blackened fish.

1st YC as well as MSC Cruise and it was the best experience!

We slept alot! 😴😴😴

Unfortunately I woke with a cold in the middle of the night! Luckily I brought cold meds!
