Star of the Sea's big show announcement.

Just received this email.  I know that it has been speculated in the past but I don't think we have had any formal confirmation from Royal yet.  Star of the Sea's big show is.... drum roll please...

This Broadway musical is on a national tour right now, I saw it when it was in town and liked it. If you are a fan of the movie you'll enjoy this show. The songs and choreography are not remarkable, it is the special effects that make this show, including a car that flies with no apparent means of support (sorry for the semi-spoiler). Since it will be permanently installed on the ship I'd think they can recreate the special effects pretty well.

For all the dire predictions about Royal killing off broadway type shows this is a pretty good sign.

I'd be excited to see this ... seems like it could be a good fit that is reasonably family friendly.

Ironically, this showed up in my email this afternoon...

 

 

Apparently the touring show is coming to LA... Since I'm not booked on Star and won't likely be anytime soon I might just go.

With Royal's use of tech it should be  great show. Unfortunately, at their prices, I'll never get to see it.
