Offshore Banking is one that is done.

Selection better and well known as choice is personal and a freedom you have because mainly your paying for it.

What are the best things to do on these islands if we are not scuba divers at these Eastern Carribean cruise stops? Thanks!

Take a look at the Ports of Call forums on this website for ideas. DH and I are sailing on the Zuiderdam on Dec. 16th and these are our three stops plus the private island stop :D We shop in St. Thomas and have taken an island tour with a swim stop at one of the beaches. Downtown shopping is great, but also pretty good at Havensight where the ship docks if you don't feel like going downtown (it can get pretty crowded if there are alot of ships in town). On Tortola, we head to Pusser's Rum and have a couple of Pain Relievers, plus we shop there and at some of the little stores in Road Town. Grand Turk will be new to us and there doesn't seem much to do, so we'll probably just grab a lounge chair on the beach. We've been to Margaritaville in Jamaica and it's pretty expensive, so we'll pass on the one in Grand Turk.

Have a great cruise!

Tortola has a Swim With the Dolphins excursion that's available either through HAL or on your own. I did it and would do it again if I had the chance.

In St. Thomas I did the HAL Racing Regatta tour and had a blast in the process. The sailing vessels were right there on the other side of the pier. We were divided into two teams and assigned a boat; then we took up the jobs on the boats and raced!

Afterward there were drinks (hard and soft) and an opportunity to take the helm. Wow.

We just did this itinerary on the Zuiderdam a few weeks ago. In Grand Turk, we didn't think there was much to do, so we hung out at Margaritaville for the afternoon. It's right at the pier, as are some shops (most are not yet open). Although we did buy a drink each, nobody pressures you to do so, and the pool is beautiful and absolutely free.

In Tortola, we got a tour right at the pier for $20 per person. It was worth it, but there wasn't a whole lot to see, really. Our tablemates took the excursion to The Baths and raved about how wonderful it was, so that's a consideration if you don't mind spending the money.

We've been to St. Thomas before (you can also get a tour there for $20 pp at the pier), so this time around we just went on the Paradise Point tramway. It's $18 pp, and at the top, there are shops, a tropical bird show, and a lovely bar/restaurant with magnificent views. We enjoyed it very much. Later, we shopped at the Havensight center right at the pier. Lots of the same stores as downtown, but lots easier to get to.

Have a great cruise!
