TV's in Staterooms

We are travelling on Navigator of the Seas on 5th May and have a question about the tv's. We have a portable media player to play movies when needing some kids quiet time and wondered if the tv's have a composite external input (red/yellow/white or scart), as will need this to plug into the tv.

No they do not. If the do have the imputs, they are disabled. The new flat panel tvs on Freedom had then, but they had disabled them. I believe they do that on all the ship, from what I have seen.

You can buy an adapter at Radio Shack that goes from S-video to co-axial. The co-ax will plug into the back of the TV where the cable is connected.

Actually, that doesn't work either. DH tried it. We had to watch movies on our portable.

It is possible that the TVs aboard are not NTSC, (US/Canada standard) and won't operate on US DVD players?? I don't know, just guessing.
