ssolomon56 Posted October 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Question - What activities do you look forward to the most on a cruise, and what do you wish they'd offer even more? Example: I really love karaoke, but it seems that lately it's being offered less and less on a cruise (except for Carnival). On our last cruise it was only offered twice for about an hour each session - and their selection was so limited it was just a waste. Also....I really love some of those really BIG contests like Quest, or Liar's Club.

Sue L Posted October 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted October 3, 2007 I love just sitting on a lounger near the pool or in the solarium, reading and RELAXING!! Something I don't usually get much of. All the activities on the are wonderful and I know they are there but the relaxing part is what I look forward to the most.

Getting pictures taken 7. Poolside games Quest and not so newly wed are getting old. The Murder Mystery dinner must be new. I've never heard of them on a cruise. Which ships? I do agree...the newlywed games are getting a bit old - mostly because the questions are ALWAYS the same. Very predictable no matter what cruiseline. They need to mix it up a little. cb at sea Posted October 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted October 3, 2007 Since I don't "play well with others", I like to sit by the pool, drink in hand, and watch the other folks on the ship! We've seen some real doozies--women in thongs that really shouldn't be, or one that change ON DECK everytime her suit got wet!!!!! A good book, some sun, a drink---how much more activity can I stand????
leoandhugh Posted October 3, 2007 #6 Share Posted October 3, 2007 The activity I enjoy the most is the one that I feel least compelled in which to participate. Like someone already said, after doing several cruises, games like the newlywed game and Quest are "old" I have always been grateful that I have never had the need to be entertained; it is never a "need to" or "must do" but rather "yeh, think i might enjoy that":)
LAKaye Posted October 3, 2007 #7 Share Posted October 3, 2007 I love just sitting on a lounger near the pool or in the solarium, reading and RELAXING!! Something I don't usually get much of. All the activities on the are wonderful and I know they are there but the relaxing part is what I look forward to the most. I am on the next lounger over from Sue---relaxing by the Solarium Pool is one of the top reasons I love cruising, along with walking around the promenade deck and looking out onto the ocean. If there were no organized activities on board I wouldn't even notice..... Leslie

kbt2 Posted October 4, 2007 #16 Share Posted October 4, 2007 I am a total hip hop music listener and will have to say that I miss the caribbean music that is played by poolside, that has become less and less...as there is now more "recorded" type hip hop/top 40 music, then the live and recorded caribbean music...I wish RCI would play that more like they use to...I know they are trying to reach a younger group like us, but at the same time we are in the caribbean and want that escape...can go to disco (and we do) for the more hip hop/top 40 stuff. :)
