Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 14, 2008 #84 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Looks like the closest they got was a day apart at Victoria. Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 19, 2008 #95 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Looks like we have missed them at Kodiak. By the look of those seas though, it looks like they may be in for a rough few days. However they are now in some of the roughest seas in the world ,so the next few days will be interesting to watch. Trust all they need is winter woolies and not barf bags.

However they are now in some of the roughest seas in the world ,so the next few days will be interesting to watch. Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 20, 2008 #97 Share Posted August 20, 2008 Todays cam is showing smooth seas,so looks like they are OK and have struck a smooth crossing. Guess we will hear in due course if they missed Kodiak or not.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 21, 2008 #98 Share Posted August 21, 2008 Back in fog again this morning ,so thick you can hardly see the bow of the ship. Will probably lift during the day,but at least the cam is showing smooth seas. For an interesting report of what the seas can be like in this area heres a thread on the CC Regent board describing the conditions that Seven Seas Mariner went through last year. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=830625
Kiwi Kruzer Posted August 24, 2008 #99 Share Posted August 24, 2008 After a few rough seas off Kodiak, they look as if they had a smooth but foggy crossing to the other side of the Pacific , and are today anchored in Russia at Petropavlosk.
