RCCLCARIB Posted August 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 17, 2008 Personally, RCCL Diamond is much better.....
familyof4cruising Posted August 17, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I do LOVE CCL Platinum free laundry BUT RCCL Diamond is better!
firefly333 Posted August 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 17, 2008 The two answers you are got so far on the Carnival board say it all. This isnt even a question, hands down RCL. Have you looked at the benefits? If so you wouldnt ask.
Rare silentbob007 Posted August 17, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 17, 2008 The only thing in the CCL perks I find interesting is laundry ... though the reputation of the laundry would give me pause (tablemates had stuff ruined ... ripped, buttons missing, etc). Seatravelers Posted August 17, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 17, 2008 RCCL DIAMOND/DIAMOND PLUS is the BEST in the industry, hands down!
crusinmama06 Posted August 17, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 17, 2008 RCCL diamond. I think not only CCL but also DCL need to work on their perks. You would think that with the DCL prices, they would have more of a loyalty program.
nanfromatlanta Posted August 17, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 17, 2008 Royal, hands down. IMHO, there is no comparison.....:D :D :D

39august Posted August 17, 2008 #10 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I'm Elite on Princess and Diamond+ on RCI. RCI is waaay better with balcony and suite discounts and Concierge Lounge.
TWELVEOHONE Posted August 17, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I'm Elite on Princess and Diamond+ on RCI. RCI is waaay better with balcony and suite discounts and Concierge Lounge. Like you I am an Elite on Princess, Elite on Celebrity, and a Diamong + on RCI. No question RCI has by far the best with the Concierge Lounge, discount coupons, among many other gifts and rewards for repeaters.
TEXASMUNK Posted August 17, 2008 #12 Share Posted August 17, 2008 in order to attain that staus, you would have to cruise with them...thus the draw back. No Thank You, I am quite satisfied with my Diamond Status on RCI.
Cruising89143 Posted August 17, 2008 #13 Share Posted August 17, 2008 RCI also brings their loyalty program up through stages so you can start receiving benefits much earlier. Carnival requires ten cruises plus they do not give out two cruise credits for their so called suites.
cruisePRN Posted August 17, 2008 #14 Share Posted August 17, 2008 I prefer the free laundry, pressing, and mini bar and almost free internet on princess. I'm Elite on Princess and Diamond plus on RCL.On a 7 night cruise it seems RCL might be a better deal on the loyality but after 7 nights Princess wins hands down. Let's just randomly select a 10 night cruise, then. $300 can buy a HECK of a lot of laundry and internet use. (Princess now limits the internet - NOT unlimited free minutes)
