sail7seas Posted October 9, 2008 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2008 Thanks for posting this. I was hoping the new menu would extend fleet wide in time for our Maasdam early December cruise. :) I like the new choices and can't wait to try some of them. MightyQuinn Posted October 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2008 The one item I am going to miss is the Northwest Clam Chowder Soup!! I have to say that my DH will also be disappointed to find Clam Chowder gone. It was one of his faves. But I'm thrilled to see an updated PG menu & can't wait to try some of the new goodies. :p:p

eldercruser Posted October 10, 2008 #10 Share Posted October 10, 2008 The new choices might spur us to try the PG again. We have been disappointed so many times in the past that we have passed the last couple of cruises.
CowPrincess Posted October 10, 2008 #11 Share Posted October 10, 2008 We weren't blown away by the previous menu, so didn't try the PG on our last cruise. I've made reservations in PG for our NEXT cruise, though! The menu items sound wonderful!
Williebill Posted October 10, 2008 #12 Share Posted October 10, 2008 My DW will be very happy to see another opportunity to get Lobster. I hope to see this menu in place for our ten day cruise in early December.
RetiredMustang Posted October 10, 2008 #13 Share Posted October 10, 2008 Just a quick note as the ship is docking at Funchal, Madeira this fine dawn. We are currently on Noordam, mid-way on the transatlantic sailing, and noticed that the PG menu had changed -- we have booked a tastings dinner later in the cruise, but checked out the menu posted outside the Grill. I remember seeing most of the new dishes listed in the article cited by OP. And, by the way, the cost of the PG dinner has dropped back to $20 per person! seafun Posted October 10, 2008 #14 Share Posted October 10, 2008 THANK YOU MIKE! You've just made me very happy. I'm sailing on the Noordam on Nov. 7th, and I didn't think the new menu would be out by then. Your news is VERY welcome news! :D Thanks for posting it. (I have reservations already for two nights in the PG.) I hope the rest of your trip is wonderful! :)

Dave Dave, if you are doing the tasting dinner. Your Sommelier should be Ferdinand (Ferdie) who is excellent. If he is there please pass along a hello from Jeff and Janis (when he was on the Prinsendam). He is very knowledgeable, professional and is a great person.
