Rceived a phone call from Det. Curry today and supposedly I will be receiving a postal money order for my $80! It has been so long that I didn't even remember who he was and was a little nervous to be contacted by the FL police (have family in FL). We'll see what happens, but it feels hopeful at this point"

Congratulations! I'm glad you had the situation resolved. It was a huge headache for me, even though it was a couple years ago.

I got a postal money order in the mail today and can now close the book on these crooks. Lesson learned, if it's too good to be true, it is. Not sure why some people have not been contacted - call Det. Curry I guess.
