Deck - 10

Cabin # - 1267

Class – C3

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet

Balcony View - Standard view, can't see forward past hump, lifeboats directly below.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Was wind a problem? When it was extremely windy we would get a howling noise around the door even in the locked position.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? Had an issue with the power outlets when at cruising speed, my flat iron wouldn't work and my battery chargers did not charge properly. Tried the flat iron in my friends room at a time when it wasn't working in my room and it worked fine there, so I think it is a problem with this specific cabin. It was never an issue at slow speeds (below 5 knots and when in port) Weird, I know.

Any other comments? Could also occasionally smell cigarette smoke from deck 5, will probably book the starboard side in the future.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - normal size with foot stools for the reclining chair. We were glad to have the foot stools but it made for a very cramped balcony. We always had to move something to stand at the railing.

Was wind a problem? No

CABIN#2130 Solstice

Deck RESORT

Cabin # 2130

Class SKY SUITE

Oversized handicap suite was about 30% larger with 1 extra floor to ceiling window (we had a double wide, it was the same size as the balcony doors, very nice.

Starboard

Bed near balcony (loved that!)

Quiet Cabin

Balcony View - too bad the overhang from sun deck obscured our view of

the sky.

Balcony Oversized-balcony was about 30% longer, same width as a normal sky suite balcony. Very shady at all times.

Was wind a problem? no

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? no

Any specific problems with this cabin?

Missing 2 amenities. No pillow menu, and no celebrity tote bag. (customer relations desk said they did not get their delivery, so they'll ship it to my home)

*Any other comments? *

The sky suite is just a glorified, concierge cabin, same wine, flowers bath products and such.

More importantly, in my opinion, (which was shared by other, experienced suite cruisers, who we spoke to, sailing in a celebrity suite),

the butler service was almost useless.

Lots of issues, our simple requests, like a pitcher of water in suite, morning coffee and pressing services, not fulfilled adequately. Forget about unpacking, and packing assistance. It did not exist! We asked our butler on arrival, with bags sitting in front of us, what services we could expect... did not offer us any assistance, and he was nowhere to be found the last sea day to help with packing either. however, he did manage to pop out of a corner the last morning to receive a gratuity, it would seem his timing had magically improved...

Yes, I could have complained to guest services, but we preferred to chalk it up to experience, as this was our first butler experience.

Needless to say, we will not bother to get a sky suite again.

Room steward service was and is always excellent. It is all we need.

The ONLY advantage to a suite is room size. But I think a handicapped cabin in concierge would have been just as good. Aqua class actually includes more amenities, like bottled water and dining in Blu, but as suite guests we had to pay extra to eat there? Ridiculous!

(We often ate in Blu anyway, because the food and service was fabulous!)

Cabin 8355 Silhouette Aft Deck 8 SV Cat.

Quiet Cabin, no passing traffic

Balcony, Medium Size, on aft there is 3 sizes.

No Wind Problem.

Balcony View Great view of Wake, and you

can see guests at the handrail on balconies below.

Sofa bed by Balcony.

Minor issue with soot, but covered the sun chairs

with pool towels to save our clothes, and requested

Cabin Steward to clean over mid way through trip.

Loved this cabin, on Equinox and Solstice its number 8353

seems Celebrity have jiggled the numbers around, would pick again.

Five stars from us.

We have enjoyed both cabins on the Eclipse on 2 seperate cruises. We found the space to be large enough to serve breakfast to 8 and the veranda is wonderfully large also. We used it often to have lunch and dinner. They are great suites on S-class. The suites are quite, shaded, and close to the elevators.

You're quite welcome but Mysticks had the great idea to start this thread and spreadsheet and I've been continuing the project.

Yeah ..... this is my 1,000th post (guess that means I'm reallly spending too much time on CC!)

Sandi,

Thank you for continuing what Mystics began. GREAT planning tool.

This reply is from the "future". Kidding ya ;). I'm replying to your post

# 904 from July 2010.

After my wife $ I return from Nov. 2012 B2B on Equinox, I'll report back CABIN data. :)

Newbies to forums & postings.

Thank you ! Bobby
