Silk embroidered jacket/palazzo pants

Since you all did such a good job helping me find a top for my long green skirt I have another fashion question for you. I have a pink silk mandarin jacket with black closures and delicate floral embroidery. I found black silk palazzo pants on the spiegel website to go with it. Would this be appropriate for the second formal night on an Alaska cruise on the Zuiderdam? My other option would be a black cocktail dress. Thanks again. Rose

You could always make it a little extra fancy by leaving the top open (assuming it is a button down the front type) and wearing sequined/beaded tank top underneath.:)
