Good heavens NO, there is absolutely no way you would make a flight this early. The ship may dock at 7:00 AM, but you won't be off at 7:00 AM even if you are the first ones to walk down the gangway carrying your own luggage.

Never. Even if you were the very first person off the ship, too many unknowns and what-if's: traffic, congestion at the airport, etc.

On the Pacific in March, the first passengers got off about 7:50am. If you book an 8:40am flight, go ahead and book a hotel too.

The ship may dock at 7AM, but debarkation may not happen til 8AM or later. Add appox. 15 min -30 min getting off the ship. Haliling a cab 5-10 min. Getting to the airport at least 15 min. Checking in could then also take 30 minutes or more. And remember airlines have rules that you have to check in so many minutes before a flight before it closes that flight. If you have luggage you must check it in also so many minutes before a flight or they don't have to guarentee let alone accept it. Remember there is also the security line.

 

Now tell us, do you think you will be able to make it on time?:cool:

Have to add my two cents!!! NO!!!! I am watcing flights out of Fort Lauderdale for our November cruise and the earlist that I would chance is 10:30 and that's pushing it.

Absolutely, positively NOT. It's not do-able, pretty much guaranteed to miss the flight.

8:40am? Are you kidding? :eek: There is no way on Earth you'll make that flight. The earliest I have ever heard of anyone making it was a 10:30am flight. Last April, we were scheduled to be in port by 6am, but didn't even get into port until after 9:45am.

I agree that an 0840 is unmakable; but we made a 1005 in February with almost an hour to spare knowing that there were flights every hour to our destination should we not make it.
