St Maarten. Ships shown (left to right): Bleu De France, Freedom of the Seas, Carnival Valor and Celebrity Solstice. I'd estimate that the canyon of ships was easily just over 1/3 mile long.

I'm glad someone found this thread! It's been missing awhile.

 

It is a large log that has been carved out into a giant iguana! This gallery is amazing and so worth the look if you are in Puerto Vallarta. Here are a few more pictures. We bought a clay piece with an iguana on it and have it in our home. It is always a topic of conversation and probably one of the most unique and beautiful pieces of art we have bought while on vacation.

the climactic scene in the movie "assassins", sly stalone, antonio bandarras & julieanne moore was shot in this cemetary, a lot of the rest of the film was shot in old san juan. just some useless trivia for yall.

there was some sort of film on the big screen about the universe, thus the shot of the earth. was really a nice touch out on the seas in the middle of the night. i love the lido deck at night.

Hi vsp, I took that photo with an old cheapo hand held Nikon coolpix 5200, I bought about 7 years ago. It's an okay camera but there are much better cameras out there today. I did auto color correction, auto contrast and reduced the image to 1024x768 using Photoshop but nothing else was enhanced. To give you a comparison, the image on the left is the original image from the camera and the image on the right is the color corrected photo using Photoshop.:)
