Hi Radio,

Love your posts and pictures. We are going back on the Freedom August 30th and can't wait. We were on the first sailaway from Port Canaveral and it was amazing how many people turned out to wave goodbye to us. Can't wait to read your review this week and see all the pics. Enjoy your time!

Have you joined our rollcall yet? We're got so many folks that I can't remember.

Just bumping this up so we can get better reception!:D

And to get the Steeler Logo ahead of the Browns log.....just kidding. ;)

And just checked on an update on the Florida board, recent responses from people that just stayed at the Raddison have been very good.

Hello everyone. . . Wow! What a great day to have a day at sea on a cruise! I took a swim and sat in the Jacuzzi for a bit. We had great weather all day.

I went to the work out room for a while. (I should have stayed there longer. . .) They have several Boxing trainings available. I was in the Gym while they were having a couple of them. I can tell you that it is a real workout.

The fitness equipment is very modern and up to date. There are TV display screens on much of the equipment that let you change the channel for news, music, shows etc. . . .

I found out a little about the Diamond Lounge up on Deck 14. On the Freedom of the Seas, you can not go out onto the deck like you could on the Liberty of the Seas. The Diamond Concierge suggested that too many non D, D+ guests were coming into the Lounge, and it was difficult to monitor. Wilfred “Willie” Salaya said that he has heard that all Diamond Lounges are like the one on Freedom of the Seas now.

There were about 25 people who showed up at the Cruise Critic Meet and Mingle. . .RCI set up Water, Orange Juice, and Coffee. There was a tray of canapés set up as well. They had several door prizes to give away.

I read last week about someone who is sailing FOS next month, and they were concerned about finding Water Shoes. . . They have them here on Freedom of the Seas. I am sure tey could be found cheaper somewhere, but there are no worries if you can't find them where you live.

Here are a few pics from today. . . I will try to get a few more up tonight from the Freedom.com Ice Show, and the Captains Welcome !

Awesome pics as usual Radio. I'm surprised there are empty loungers at the pool. As far as the Radisson the reviews I have read recently are positive. It's only 1 night and everyone has a different idea of a dump I guess. You really can't blame the hotel if someone backs into your car.

Amazing stuff!!

Can you comment on the pool seating situation; it seems to be packed. I'm sure it's hard to find a chair. Did you have a chance to look at the VIP pool seating for suite guests, were those available or packed as well?

I wonder if they let "regular" guests in the VIP pool area if it's empty. They should.

Thanks for keeping us updated Radio! And that is probably the first time I've seen a picture of the boxing room actually being used. Wonder if they will keep one on Oasis or not?

We ate breakfast with a lady on LOS that was very exercise conscious. I think she said she even has a trainer and boxes at home. But she said no one used the boxing ring because you had to pay. It wasn't like the flowrider where there were private lessons and you paid, you have to pay everytime and she seemed to make it sound like it was very expensive. SHe said it was a waste of space.

Mark: The pics and commentary are great so far...We met Willie on the Jewel when he was Concierge, so I am assuming from your post he is in charge of the Diamond Lounge now...Keep the posts and pics coming, we are "tuned" in for the week!

:DThis is very exciting since we are leaving is about a month --thank you so much --you are making my day--can't wait to get home from work and read your report!. Loved the Diamond Lounge picture--any pics and info on the D-Lounge would be appreciated. This will be our first time as D- members--is the D-Lounge open 24 hours? How is the cappuchino machine--do they have one? What is breakfast and "happy hour" like in the D-Lounge? Keep up the wonderful work!!

That early-morning picture in the Diamond Lounge looks like it's still dark out! What time do you get up in the morning on your vacations?

We're on the same cruise and got our docs Friday also. Not much longer!:D

:DHi--isn't this exciting?--was wondering what would keep me going until 9-6 and then Radio came aboard. The ship looks wonderful! We were on the Mariner last year and we fell in love with her. The Freedom looks like the Mariner on steroids. Do you know if thre is going to be a Meet and Mingle for 9-6?--I have not checked that out yet.
