klang Posted August 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 8, 2009 I've seen lots of threads about people's MDR and Windjammer favorite foods, but what does everyone like from room service? I would love a good recommendation for snacks. Thanks! :)
tip Posted August 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted August 8, 2009 We have had a balcony on our past two RCCL cruises. We share a cheese platter and chicken drumettes at least two or three times each cruise in the late afternoon and watch the sea go by!
OrdieJ Posted August 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted August 8, 2009 Oh this is going to be a good thread. My g/f and I also had a balcony and enjoyed having breakfast with fresh fruit on our balcony watching the ship pull into port.

babybaby Posted August 8, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 8, 2009 If you want lunch the turkey sandwich is great. The bread is tasty and the fact it is delivered to my door makes it even better. Don't forget the cookie!
1st mate Posted August 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 9, 2009 We enjoy a pot of coffee and a couple of those very tastey bran muffins on the balcony, then we go to breakfast.

luckyprincess Posted August 9, 2009 #10 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Oh this is going to be a good thread. My g/f and I also had a balcony and enjoyed having breakfast with fresh fruit on our balcony watching the ship pull into port. That's what we did every morning!! We would run to the Windjammer really quick, grab some stuff and come up in time to get our fruit, coffee and juices from room service and go on the balcony and eat it. Oh, I can't WAIT to go... kruzerci Posted August 9, 2009 #12 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Lol maybe it was just us, but we didn't think any of it was very good on the Liberty this week. I had a good caeser salad a couple times, but that was about it :p.
bouhunter Posted August 9, 2009 #13 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Anything for breakfast on port days. We don't do Windjammer on port days because the masses are all there in a shorter time window before getting off the ship. The pastries, fruits, eggs, sausage are all fine and it's great to eat on the balcony away from the chaos at Windjammer:)
marci22 Posted August 9, 2009 #14 Share Posted August 9, 2009 The room service menu is limited but it's all pretty good. We usually get the chicken drummettes and the chili and chorizo dip (but ask for extra chips, they don't give you very many).
SA Traveler Posted August 9, 2009 #15 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Chili and Chorizo Dip.:D Yummy! This is also our favorite but I agree you need to ask for extra chips. The chips always run out before the dip.
babies12 Posted August 9, 2009 #16 Share Posted August 9, 2009 This is also our favorite but I agree you need to ask for extra chips. The chips always run out before the dip. That sounds great. I'm curious, can you purchase a bag of corn chips and bring them onboard in your carry on?
househunter Posted August 9, 2009 #17 Share Posted August 9, 2009 That sounds great. I'm curious, can you purchase a bag of corn chips and bring them onboard in your carry on? No need to do that, just ask for extras and they will include them with your order.
CruisinManiac Posted August 9, 2009 #18 Share Posted August 9, 2009 Coffee/hot chocolate and danish in the early a.m. Which leads me to a question. If there is a charge for room service after 1:00 a.m., when does the "free" room service kick in again? I have not been onboard since the new room service charge policy went in to effect. Garyorient Posted August 10, 2009 #25 Share Posted August 10, 2009 When I saw the thread title my intention was to type that I eould never use room service as it was lazy and showed a "couldn't be arsed" attitude. Now I have read the thread I will definately order 3 of everything:p
