Best Floor Majesty

I would pick a deck closest to where I'd be spending the majority of my days...it just makes getting around easier if you can use the stairs, rather than waiting on the elevators for running back and forth to the cabin! Being close to the stairs/elevators is a PLUS--not a noisy area at all!

After cruising on her sister ship, Monarch numerous times, I'd have to go with deck 9 in a SO category cabin. Decks 5 and 4 aren't bad if you want to save a little $ over the SO category, I'd avoid deck 7 completely and deck 8 we got the noise all night from people promenading around on deck 7. Deck 6 gets the noise from the promenade deck.

Deck 5 center was a great location esp. for the Centrum, but I preferred deck 9 center (I think it was 9024...quite an obstructed view though, but you don't care) because I spend most of my time at the WJ and pool and I was much closer on 9. :)

Deck 7 is a great place to be. Been there on MJ and MN both. It's OV, may be obstructed, but you are very convenient to everywhere. The obstruction is minimal. Just walk outside to the Promenade deck . . . and from there you can walk to anywhere.

Try it. We've done it and are doing it again in 30 days!

Our family will be on the Majesty - Deck 7 OV on 9/18/09. We are taking our kids out of school for this weekend trip. Looking forward to it. We have been on the Navigator, Rhapsody, and Splendour and hoping to have a fun time on this "little" ship!

Hopefully we will have good weather and will be able to enjoy CocoCay and Nassau.

I would chose Deck 7 again too. Its almost like having a balcony. Didn't find noise to be an issue at all.;)

My personal favorite on the Majesty is Deck 5. It's on the same level as the casino, Lattitudes, Centrum and Schooner Bar....and one or two up from the dining rooms. Except to go up to the upper decks, no elevator needed.....and even then, it's a nice 'walk' up to the upper decks; one up from embarkation/debarkation first/last days, and only a few up from embarkation/debarkation in ports. The cabin we always take also has its muster drill site in Bolero's, indoors. We'll be on her again in just a couple of weeks. We took the same cabin we had last time, and it'll be interesting to see if the quarter we taped to the underside of the counter will still be there!!

I would definitely not book deck 6. My first cruise was on Majesty and I did not know anything about deck plans. We booked deck 6 and the noise above us was pretty bad. We were directly under the jogging track. Although there were signs stating that people were not supposed to jog too early in the morning, no one paid attention to them. I was awakened much earlier than I care to be while on vacation.

We were on Deck 6 a couple of years ago, we liked the location a lot, only problem we had were noisy neighbors. But we tend to be early risers.

I really liked deck 8 on Monarch and we are currently booked on deck 8 of Majesty. I love the location, our cabin was close to the stairs and we never used the elevators. Couple of flights up to the pool and WJ and a couple of flights down to the dining room.

In my opinion, if you are not going to book a deck 10 suite, the category SO rooms on deck 9 are the best. The rooms are larger and have a small sofa. They are 2 floors down from the pool deck, so no banging from above, and are 2 stories up from the promenade, so no one looking in your window like on deck 7 or views of the side of a lifeboat like on deck 8.
