mjharmstone Posted June 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Hi all, Sorry if this has already been asked - I'm booked onto an Ovation cruise next year, and was wondering what the deal was with WOWBands. Are they available and/or free? Thanks
nelblu Posted June 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Most recently, the WOW bands on the Anthem were @ $5 a pop. When I sailed on the Anthem last August, I was able to trade my free Quantum one for an Anthem. To me it's a wonderful & useful tool.
Rare pasodancer Posted June 24, 2017 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2017 If you are in certain suite categories, the WOW band is free.
cruiseforus Posted June 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Are the included in a Junior Spa Suite?
HighlandBoy Posted June 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Last year we got them free on the Anthem in a Family Junior Suite, they were left in the room for us.

Merion_Mom Posted June 24, 2017 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Are they available on the Allure too? Sent from my iPhone using Forums No, only the "brand new" ships: All of Quantum class, plus Harmony, and soon, Symphony.
BillHana Posted December 15, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 15, 2017 We are sailing on Anthem in January 2018 in a simple balcony stateroom. What is the cost of WOWbands and how hard is it to get them? Do they work for everything the SeaPass card does?

Do they work for everything the SeaPass card does? Wow bands are $5 each, at Guest Services. They do everything that a SeaPass does, except get you on and off the ship. ckrobyn Posted December 15, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 15, 2017 Is there any advantage to these WOW bands over a regular seapass card? I am sailing on Anthem next month.

I think some people consider them more convenient, especially those who don't wear clothes with pockets. However, I cannot think of anything a WOW band can do that a SeaPass cannot (other than wrap around your wrist).
BillHana Posted December 17, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 17, 2017 So I need to wait in the long line at guest services for the opportunity to purchase this WOW band?
Life is Good Cruising Posted December 17, 2017 #14 Share Posted December 17, 2017 So I need to wait in the long line at guest services for the opportunity to purchase this WOW band? Besides Guest Services, I've seen them selling the Wow bands at times in front and other times inside of Boleros only on boarding day which is on Deck 4. Rare twangster Posted December 19, 2017 #15 Share Posted December 19, 2017 Just a heads up that on Anthem last week they wouldn't trade in an old wow band. They will add a previous wow band you have to your current account only if the muster station printed on it is the same. My "E1" wow band from another cruise was useless since my new muster station was "E2". I was on a B2B and was changing cabins due to booking both on short notice. As it turns out despite being on a different deck, I was in the same muster station. I bought an "E2" wow band on the 1st leg and was able to have it re-coded to my account for the 2nd leg but only because I was in the same "E2" muster station.
