questions on cruising in december

Hi All , My daughter was awarded a make a wish and her wish was to go on a cruise to the western caribbean. We was going to go in the summer but they said all of trhe wish cruises are booked so now we are looking at going in december on winter break . I guess some of my questions would be ,

will it be to chilly on the ship to do anything ? we will probably be leaving out of miami .

is the weather down there warm enough to be in the ocean or to swim with dolphins etc. ?

we are from Ohio so it will no doubt be warmer than here lol

or should we just hold off and go next summer ?

It will definitely be warm enough to swim in the ocean. The only place I would worry about coolness would be around Miami.

In December highs in Miami are usually in the 80's.

Should be fine for swimming in most ports and on the ship.

Unless there is a "far-reaching" cold front, it should be quite pleasant in the Caribbean! No worries!

Last time we were in FLL in December (before and after a 14 day cruise) it was in the low to mid 60s.

Love cruising out of Miami in December. The weather is normally great and warm. I have pictures of us laying out at the pool at Embassy Suites in FLL on Christmas Eve after our NCL Epic Cruise.

We sailed Western Caribbean early last December and the weather was perfect!! Enjoy these precious days :)

We took many Caribbean cruises over Christmas when our children were still in school. Great time to cruise!

Your daughter will totally enjoy her "Wish" cruise! :)

Miami may be a little cool, especially in the evening. A sweater or sweatshirt should work. Once you get further south it should be nice and comfortable. Please don't forget the sun sceen.
