Being at sea. The rest here is just details.

  • walking up that gangway and knowing I'm on vacation
  • seeing the ship from the causeway in Galveston
  • the service at dinner
  • the water color the first morning
  • the feeling of finishing a good jog on the track in the early morning hours
  • watching those letters FUN inflate on what few ships have the original Welcome Aboard Show
  • Cozumel and Nachi Cocom
  • people watching on deck 5 by the casino
  • dominoes on the lido deck by the burrito bar
  • meeting new friends at dinner
  • two naps on sea days
  • watching the pilot boat
  • NYE cruises and watching the countdown to the ships horn blaring
  • watching the rigs on the last night at sea coming back to Galveston
  • getting off the ship and having one more booked
  • and the best; watching Blue Cards and their first experiences, we were all one of them once

I miss the lido bands on Fantasy class ships and the Bob Marley music.

Breakfast on the balcony...heavenly!

Anytime dining

Enjoying the shows and comedy club

Spending quality time with family

Kiss on the Lips

Walking into the atrium for the first time

Walking up on deck at night...daytime too.

Relaxing on our balcony at night and watching the stars

Reading a good book for an hour or two every afternoon on my balcony

Coming back to our room at night to see what towel critter our room steward made for us

The whole experience really...love, love, love cruising...just wish we could do it more often :)

We love the fact that you can just go up or down elevators to get to restaurants, bars, entertainment without having to step foot outside or drive a car. Everything is readily available at pretty much any time of day.

Plus you unpack once, see 3-5 places!

  1. Walking up the gangway after check in
  2. Opening the cabin door for the first time
  3. Stepping onto the balcony for the first time
  4. embarkation day lunch - (most)EVERYONE is happy at this point
  5. Afternoon naps on sea days
  6. Posting my first "I'm currently onboard" cruise critic post

Ok.. delete the last one. I disconnect when I'm onboard.
