  1. As in Post #2, you RUN to the Sanctuary to book.
  2. @ZildjianCat As mentioned, two of you would need to purchase the Plus or Premium. Forget the alcohol... are you an espresso aficionado and enjoy at least two of those a day? How about bottled water to take onshore in the hot weather? Virgin cocktails by the pool? And remember to add in the cost of gratuities and desired WiFi capabilities. Then the Plus may make sense for you.
  3. In our experience with a Princess transfer from Southampton to LHR, it is a National Express coach and you are dropped off right at your terminal. Yes, it may cost more, but it is really convenient.
  4. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Cruising is not without mishaps. No ship or cruise line is perfect; just like no automobile is perfect. They are all subject to mechanical errors, etc. I hope you will have a great cruise.
  5. Yes, you can. To reserve anything in the Sanctuary, I have heard that you must RUN to the Sanctuary upon boarding to book your days. It is very popular.
  6. I really liked it when you could only be served buffet items. I don't think it really slowed anything down much. And if so, we did not mind.
  7. I am not sure, but I think that you can purchase onboard by the end of the 2nd cruise day.
  8. Thanks so much, Lew!!! I also appreciate the comment about the wine dinner.
  9. Thanks, Lew. We always book directly with the hotel. I appreciate the link for the Jubilee. Have you stayed at Hotel Smeraldo before? Comments? Thx
  10. Those balconies are the same.I am not sure about coverage from the photos I can find.
  11. It is good to know that they can at least keep what is personally given to them. They work so hard!
  12. This is how I understood it as well. I am also curious if the "included" beverage gratuity goes to that person.
  13. Thank you for providing that history. Now we know where @CineGraphic has been, and am glad @CineGraphic checked in to say hello.
  14. Yes, thank you for the explanation. The longer day really made a difference for the cruisers. And it was a gorgeous sunny day.
  15. It really depends on the itinerary. A few years ago, we did a 12 night Alaska cruise round trip from Vancouver, BC. The last stop was Victoria and we were there as long as a regular stop, about 8 hours. It was glorious and sunny.
