After many years being Tribe member, I’ve decided to step out and unfollow. To the tried and true members from way back when, thank you for being part of my life. We’ve shared our lives, ups and downs and made it through the pandemic. I’ve appreciate being able to share my photos and adventures. I will truly miss you.

Recent comments have made me feel attacked and ridiculed. I don’t need that in my life. Remember when snarky comments are made, you don’t know how it will effect someone.

I’m terribly sad that this is the end of my Tribe membership.

    Stay safe, stay well💕

So sorry it has come to this @Slainte57.  I have always looked forward to and enjoyed your posts  -- especially the pictures.  Were always uplifting.  But also understand enough is enough.  When you no longer enjoy making the contributions you always did, tough decisions have to be made.  Wishing you well in your future endeavors and hope you continue taking your walks along with photographs as I think they are soothing and relieve stress contributing to a healthier life which you certainly deserve.

  2. @Shaded Lady---   Glad to hear you came through unscathed.  I had Ida whack me last year and was not as fortunate as you were but was much more fortunate than many.  Some are still waiting on FEMA temporary housing.  Hope all other Tribe members in Ian's path come through as unscathed as possible.  Thoughts and prayers for all affected by Ian.  Wishing y'all a quick recovery.

I think that I'm going to forego the Virgin Voyages cruise during Christmas break, and I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on the Breakaway out of New Orleans for December 19 - 26th... Cheaper, or at least equal in price to Scarlet Lady, but seven days instead of four, and included drink package and dining package... Even including the flights and one night in a hotel, I'll still come out about the same as Scarlet Lady would be, once I add in drinks, flights, and hotel... Only thing is that I would need to take off some additional days prior to our regular Christmas break... We'll see...

Since it's raining again this afternoon, I ended up just cooking some soy sauce air fryer wings... It looks like it may be clearing up soon, so I may have an evening walk, since I'm going for night number three in a row without a drink...

Sid  --  How do you make your soy sauce air fryer wings.  They look nice and crispy.   Thanks

Batch number one is ready... Maybe, I could quit at the rug place, and sell these soy sauce wings on the side of the road?...

Sid  --  How do you make these.  I am looking for new versions to try but always end back up at hot, hot buffalo.

I kept waiting and hoping that prices would go down this week since they typically rise with July 4th, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I went to a gas station where the cash price is cheaper and it’s the cheapest in the area. Gave the guy inside $40 and there was no change. My tank is close to full but not quite. I remember when gas was $1.00 higher , and I know that our Canadian friends here pay much more. However, it’s still hard to swallow when gas was more than $1.00 less last summer at this time.

Better than my experience getting gas this week @AKR2011.  Like you, I have been putting it off.  Decided I was uncomfortable running down my tank any further even though not really empty empty.  Usually fill up at 1/2 tank but have been hoping for some relief that has not come.  Sam's is usually cheapest in my area and I needed just a couple things I usually get there so stopped at the long line for gas before going insde.  I was between 1/4 an 1/2 tank indicated on gas guage.  I stopped pumping at $60 and tank was still not full - 1st time I have not fully filled my tank when stopping for gas in many many many years.  Gas was $2.55/gal.  Getting to where I will be in an economic lockdown (vs covid lockdown) as it is too expensive to leave the house.

Home made spaghetti sauce.  Will let it simmer over night, then can in the morning.  After that is cleaned up, salsa.

Looks delicious.  Lots of work to make big batches like this but nice to have it available.
