  1. When NCL overbooked we were offered a full refund plus a feature cruise credit of the basic price of the cruise, I was happy to help them out.
  2. Of course the IRS pays interest on a refund delayed 16 months by them. So NCL is a notch below the IRS.
  3. How much interest did they pay you? Did you report the interest on your tax return?
  4. Bad choice, ending cruise is Brazil is expensive (visa required) and dangerous.
  5. On both the Explorer and Liberty this passed spring and summer the MDR had at least one starter, main course and dessert listed as vegan. Made the choices easy most nights, but eventually got too much asparagus, allowed myself to make some fish or shrimp substitutions.
  6. You do not HAVE to pay taxes, there are plenty of people in prison proving that.
  7. In the 50's we did drills, like hiding under our desks in response to a nuclear attack. Even I knew it was silly, but it made someone happy to say we were prepared.
  8. So you could not eat enough at second sitting MDR to hold you until morning. Perhaps you could take things back to your cabin earlier from WJ to get you through the night.
  9. Good, you can get back to your up-market lines, NCL has had bigger disappointments.
  10. Were you not affraid that a hyjacked plane would crash into your ship?
  11. When you check in online don't worry about the picture you must submit. After two or three failures the program will tell you that you must have your picture taken when you check in at the pier, then it will let you complete check in.
  12. There was a band from the Philippines which played a good variety of music, did one theatre show with 4 Beatles and 8 Queen Songs. Sky also had very good female vocalists and a stage show like American Idol. We were on in September, the Filipinos said they will still be on the Sky until 2025 when it cruises the Philippines. The juggler and comedian were the usual. Even though it is a small ship, the theatre is small, and the nights when there was only one show it was often full 15 minutes before show time and we were sailing at 70% one cruise and 65% the next. The food was ok, some nights it was difficult for me because I do not eat meat, eggs, or dairy products. The specialty restaurants were worth while, as we get two dinners for two because we are Sapphires, we purchased a third specialty restaurant and enjoyed the Sushi restaurant.
  13. It was listed the same way on our recent ,Royal Caribbean TA, but one of the people, with help from a few players, organized daily duplicate bridge with 6 or 5 tables every day, playing 20 hands a day. Royal provided a bottle of champaigne(free art auction type) to the winners every day. Some others just played rubber bridge.
  14. Going green, what they mean is they are cutting expenses, keeping more of the green we give them I cruise to escape the online nonsense, if there are no cruise compases in print on my next cruise, somebody gonna get an earful.
  15. Or We Will Rock You on Anthem of the Seas.
  16. When we sailed Mariner from Dubai to Barcelona in 2018 the last three nights before we hit the Red Sea, no one was allowed outside on the upper decks from sunset to sunrise. There were armed troops on said decks ready to defend us from snipers and pirates. No incidents were reported.
  17. When we checked in for b2b, for the first cruise we each had to be rejected 3 times before it said we were checked in, but would need our picture taken during check in at the ship. Second cruise it only took one rejection each before it allowed us to check in at the ship. Thought that was progress.
